Many of my students have gone on to become professional musicians, while others enjoy learning about music and playing for fun. I teach a variety of musical styles, including pop, jazz, blues, classical, easy listening and contemporary music. I teach each student according to their musical goals. I enjoy helping others achieve their goals while learning their chosen instrument. It's fun to watch someone really understand how music works. I enjoy helping each student express themselves through their musical endeavors.

Amy Lauro has been so great in helping my daughter develop a love for piano, and she's only had about 6 weeks of lessons so far! Ms. Lauro is very attentive, asking questions, observing, and constantly assessing where students are in order to give them adequate challenge without overwhelming them. She also pays attention to student interests in order to tailor the lessons to keep them engaged. I think the lessons are a great value. My daughter thinks she's great!

Great working with Amy, she's very patient and has a knack with children. Utilizes up to date music and material that keeps them kids engaged in wanting to learn how to play their instruments.

Amy is a wonderful teacher. She teaches piano, guitar and vocals, is great with kids, and is really passionate about music. Also, she is very organized, which makes parents' life easy. My son was her student for several years and we all loved her. She is amazing.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have an hourly rate. Each student can take 30, 45 or 60 minute lessons.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I access the needs of the student and create a plan of study that helps them achieve their goals. (reading music, composing, enjoying to play, improvising, performance)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have several degrees, including an A.S degree in music performance ,B.A in music Education and continuing studies in audio engineering. I also belong to several professional organizations for music education.
