I've worked with Ed on and off over the last few years. As a player, he is a total pro, able to deliver at a high level across many styles. What I really love about playing with Ed is that he is also a great person - always a positive attitude, punctual and prepared. Ed is my first call when I need a drummer, for both live and studio work. He has also given some drum lessons to my son, providing not just style and technique, but also some great philosophy and guidance about music in general.

Ed is one of those one in a million musicians who is both natural and articulate with really abstract musicality and creativity aspects of playing and music, and also among the most studied, dynamic, open, and monster chop having musicians I've ever encountered. I've played on a dozen or so recordings with him and Ed always exudes a warm, fun, relaxed, but focused vibe that makes everybody play their best. He would be an ideal choice both for a beginner to get on the right track or a more seasoned player that needs a mentor.
