For the past few months, I have been planning for roofreplacement and went around gathering several quotes from local companies. I came across United roofing through Thumbtack, scheduled an initial consultation and Eros provided me with a detailed quote listing out all the replacement material and work to be done. Eros walked me through the written proposal on the spot, His quote was not cheapest by any means, and as I narrowed down my options, he made himself available for follow up discussions, questions and providing examples of work done by his company. When I decided to move forward, United Roofing and Restorations came in the most competitive — not the cheapest in a sketchy way, but the best value when you factored in what was actually included. No deposit required upfront, no pressure sales pitch, no vague line items.
I want to call out the communication specifically, because this is where most contractors drop the ball and this company absolutely did not. From the day we agreed on install and post work, Eros was reachable — not just during business hours. The morning of the job, the crew showed up when they said they would.
The crew worked through the full day without stopping. I've seen roofing jobs drag across multiple days with the homeowner waiting around, or tried to rush the job within a day to attempt doing the teardown and install in one shot. The job went for 1.5 days. When it was done, Eros went up on the roof himself personally — to do the final walkthrough. He checked for missing nails, inspected the flashing, and walked the perimeter of the house looking for debris. That kind of attention at the finish line is not something every contractor bothers with.
The cleanup was done adequately and all material/ nails were swept off from the yard.
I asked for a couple of solar fan additions and Eros was able to accommodate it without any increase in price (labor only).
Once done, I kept an eye on any leaks or workmanship items which may need attention. I found a minor drip leak through AC vent pipes depending upon rain intensity and direction. I notified Eros and he promptly scheduled to be back on the roof and made adjustments to the flashing. I monitored it during the next rain spell and it was still present. He sent the crew back up who worked on replicating the issue and fixing it. It has been holding up since then and made it through the recent rainstorm without any issue.
The materials used are of Certain Teed brand and I received warranty paperwork in mail as indicated by Eros.
Overall I am very pleased with the work done by Eros and his team and I recommend using them for any roof repair or replacement need anyone may have. I myself have referred to them as my neighbor asked about and saw their work done.
New roof looks excellent. I am happy with the work and service received.

Eros and his company are top-notch! I cannot recommend him enough— to say that we’re pleased is an understatement. My dad needed to completely overhaul of our family home in Houston after many years of it sitting vacant to the point his HOA got involved. Beginning a project of this magnitude was daunting, especially since we all live in San Antonio, but from my first conversation with Eros to discuss a full roofreplacement he immediately put me at ease. The roof turned out beautifully and we were so impressed by Eros’ professionalism and quality of work that he’s now replacing 18 windows, installing a new window, installing new French patio doors, replacing a few exterior doors, repairing/replacing siding and painting the entire exterior! Plus we have plans to install new gutters. We are only several weeks into our project and our progress is phenomenal. Soon we will begin the next phase of overhauling the interior and we plan to let Eros work his magic. I’m sure this review sounds over-the-top but I assure you I’m not exaggerating when I say what a relief it’s been finding a trusted professional who stands by their work, whose pricing is affordable, and who actively sends updates throughout the day. If you’re on the fence about choosing a roofer or remodeling company, do yourself a favor and just reach out to Eros of United Roofing! I start with a FREE inspection and FREE NO OBLIGATION quote, even if you do not use my company you will never be asked for any money unless we do your project. The quote price is what you will pay. No hidden fees or surprising costs. I also have great Financing options and do take credit cards as a form of payment as well.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I typically love to go out and meet the customer face to face so I can thoroughly discuss the products I install on their roof and get to know the customer on a more personal level so I can satisfy their needs better. But if a customer can not be home or just wants a quote without meeting I am more then happy to do that as well.

I have been in roofing for almost 10 years now. I am recognized and certified as a ShingleMaster with CertainTeed roofing products.
