As an absolute beginner, and having sifted through dozens of potentially gifted albeit incredibly boring instructors, I finally settled on Ken Eaton. The efficiency and care with which he passes his vast knowledge is unmatched, and his lessons are also outrageously fun. Ken possesses a lifetime of real world knowledge and experience in application and that is a serious consideration if you're aim is to learn self defense. There is no belt system, no memorization of complex poses, simply a raw and very genuine understanding of the biomechanics of fighting or defending yourself/loved ones with a degree of startling devastation.
