- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for voice, woodwinds, piano, and music theory is as follows: *Discounts given to students who pay monthly! :) 30 min lessons- $30 60 min lessons- $55 Lessons offered weekly or bi-weekly. Specials offered year round; just ask! If I travel to you, there is an additional fee. Please see my website for more information.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We will discuss your goals for your lessons, and what you want to learn more about. I'd love to know what your favorite music styles are, and who you might compare your performance style to. If you have anything you can bring to perform for me, that is welcome, too. Any information you can give me to select a difficulty level for your first lesson is helpful. I am very excited to tell my vocal students that you have the opportunity to have a basic piano and music reading skills taught as part of the curriculum. I believe in "smart singers", no matter what the genre! So come prepared to learn some stuff that could even change the way you listen to music every day! You'll be surprised how much your tone improves by learning EXACTLY what notes you're singing, and why ;) To finish, we talk about lesson length options and payment options. Many in my studio are on strange schedules, so I am willing to work with each client to fit your time and budget. Feel no pressure to sign up the day of your consultation! Get started when you are ready. Most of my students begin within two/three weeks of our meeting, and parents can sign children up early for the coming school semester. Undergraduate in Music Performance; looking into my masters as soon as I find the time! Maybe next year? ;)
