I'm offering a background in communications, occupational education, training, instructional media services, and learning resources. Skills and Areas of Accomplishment I'm able to write original documentation and training materials based upon original research and observation of on the job practices. I have worked with subject matter experts to develop training and to assess future training needs. I'm familiar with a wide array of professional development skills, including customer service, business writing, train the trainer, project management, management skills for clerical staff, coaching skills, presentation skills, sales, and marketing. As a manager of learning resources, I've directed media services for a university campus at the Texas Medical Center. I've maintained a library of health science media, created and facilitated in house training, and assessed health science media needs. Computer skills include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop, and digital audio editing. I have worked with Adobe Dreamweaver for over a decade, designing new web sites with CSS technology. I've been formally trained in Authorware at University of Houston College of Technology. Communications background includes over five years in broadcast journalism, including a public affairs talk show at Houston's #1 rated radio station. I've interviewed two U.S. Senators and Congressman Ron Paul. I've participated in video productions of the Houston Independent School District and the co-production of an instructional video on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder in children. I've created and currently maintain one of the most widely respected radio history sites in the United States. It is nothing less than a local phenomenon.
