I'm Rachel, your go-to wedding officiant for Knot So Traditional and wonderfully unconventional ceremonies for every kind of love story. Inclusivity is the heart of Knot So Traditional, not an add-on service. Every kind of love story is welcome. That includes LGBTQIA+ couples, secular partners, blended families, multicultural couples, and anyone who has ever wondered, “Is our vision too different?” The answer is no. I didn’t become an officiant to replicate traditional ceremony scripts. I became an officiant because I care about inclusion, language, story, and the way people are made to feel seen in one of the most important moments of their lives. Before this, my career centered around learning and development; building programs, facilitating conversations, and helping people find clarity in complex or high-stakes moments. That thread still runs through everything I do now. I’m structured but not rigid, detail-oriented but not overly formal, and I’m adamant about making things easy without making them generic. I work best with couples who want something intentional, personal, and a little (or a lot) outside the expected, even if they’re not totally sure what that looks like yet. Most of my ceremonies are non religious or lightly spiritual, but what matters most is that they reflect your unique love story. We shape the structure, the words, and the flow so it feels natural, not like something you’re performing. Simply put: I’m here to translate your relationship into something honest, personal, and memorable, so when you look back on your ceremony, it feels like it could only have belonged to you. Whether you are planning a barefoot beach elopement, a Star Wars themed extravaganza, or a heartfelt backyard vow exchange, I am here to make your ceremony as unique as your love.
