Candon is awesome, his attention to form is outstanding. I’ve had several personal trainers over the years and I rank Candon as one of the best. No knee jarring exercises (I’m 42 with decreasing cartilage) or craziness. Just a good solid workout. Great and friendly personal trainer to work with! He is very creative in the type of workouts you do, and you actually enjoy working out each time. He is a very great listener, non-judgmental, and truly cares about your health and meeting your personal goals. I would have continued with this trainer, but unfortunately because of the long distance from where I live, I wasn't able to commit to more sessions. - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?My rates depend on the duration of our session (30/60 minutes), how many times per week we see each other, and how long you commit to the training program. I truly want to help people reach their goals and change their lives and I don’t want cost to be a hindrance. So, I provide a variety of payment plans to accommodate everyone’s budget. When we meet for your free consultation, I will share with you all of my options so you have the ability to work with a trainer on a payment plan that fits your needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?My biggest goal for new clients is to have them be as comfortable as possible. I strive to be as transparent and non-judgmental as possible because If I were in there shoes, that Is the last thing I would want. After meeting, we would go out on the floor and literally find their strengths and weaknesses. I screen clients for posture, movement compensations, and muscular imbalances so as to not create or exacerbate any new or reoccurring injuries.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I received my bachelors of science in Kinesiology (the study of human movement) at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. Certifications: 1) National Strength & Conditioning Association: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA- CSCS) 2) National Academy of Sports Medicine: Certified Personal Trainer (NASM- CPT) 3) American Heart Association: First Aid, CPR, and AED Internships: 1) Abilene Christian University (Abilene, TX) Strength and Conditioning 2) Ramona High School (Ramona, CA) JV/Varsity Football Strength and Conditioning
