Our experience with Scott Loehr was a great one. We had not had a piano in our household for sometime, and the one we just got needed a lot of tuning. Scott was very responsive; he explained the whole process and gave us an appointment right away when we asked for one. Once here, he spent a long time working on the piano. I understand that most piano tuners are not piano players, but the fact that Scott is, in my opinion, is a big plus. He asked us what we would like to hear and played that piece of music before and after he tuned the piano so that we could hear the difference. It was a big difference. He answered all of our questions and was very patient with us and our piano. I can tell he really enjoys working with pianos and is very knowledgeable about them. We will definitely be calling him again for future tunings. Thank you again for your time and great work!

Scott was awesome to work with. Tuned up an old piano I received for free and then even played a few tunes for my roommate and I after he had finished. Highly recommend hiring him for tuning or even an event!

My experience with Scott was terrific! My antique piano was manufactured in 1900! It was really out if tune and could not be used. He explained what he was going to try to do ( very gently) so the strings would not break. He was not sure it would hold the tuning. After a few fours and no broken strings, it sounded beautiful. He played some songs for me and I was so excited! It will need tuning again after the holidays and without question, Scott will be the one to do it!!!!!

We had great experience with Mr.Scott. The piano we bought needed lot of tuning since it is old and not has been tuned for long time. Mr. Scott was very responsive, and punctual .He spoke to my son at length and explain him about the piano and the whole process of tuning it. He had to spend long time fixing our piano . He sent us recording before and after pianotuning. He is very professional and knowledgeable person and I would recommend him to anyone who needs pianotuning. I would call him again in future too. Mr. Loehr tuned my 63 year old piano. He did such a GREAT job. He spends a lot of time fine tuning, and he has a great ear for tuning! He even has perfect pitch! He's ear are finely tuned, and he's excellent at what he does. He did a thorough job and even evaluated and repaired my old piano at the same visit. He also showed me exactly what to expect for others repairs and if I opted to do it myself, what I would need to do. He also fixed the sticky keys I had. On top of that, he's a very good piano player. I paid him extra because he's too skilled at what he does for the price he charged me and the amount of dedication and time he spent tuning and repairing my piano. I highly recommend his services.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes - I sometimes use an application called VeriTuner on my iPad which greatly assists me in noisy environments.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I compose a lot of music, and I have been recording since I was a teenager. I learned how to tune my piano so that I could improve the quality of my recordings. Word got around, and friends started hiring me to tune their pianos when I was in college.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Tuning pianos - grands, uprights; adjusting sustain pedal; playing their favorite song(s) after the piano is tuned!
