FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Most small projects are priced either hourly or as a flat rate, depending on the scope. We always explain the pricing before starting any work. No hidden fees! Materials are discussed in advance (included when agreed, otherwise billed at cost). Minimum service charge may apply for very small jobs to cover travel and setup. Discounts may be available for neighbors, repeat customers, or multiple projects completed during the same visit. If additional work is requested after the job starts, we’ll confirm pricing before proceeding. Our goal is simple: fair pricing, clear communication, and quality work you can trust!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We keep the process simple and neighbor-friendly. Initial contact – You reach out through Thumbtack, and we respond quickly to understand what you need. Details & photos – For many small jobs, photos and a short description are enough to provide an estimate. Clear estimate – We explain pricing and scope upfront before any work begins. Scheduling – Once approved, we schedule a time that works for you. Get the job done – We show up on time, bring our own tools, protect your space, and focus on quality work. Final walkthrough – We review the completed work with you and make sure you’re satisfied before wrapping up. Communication is key throughout the process. Our goal is to make home repairs and small projects easy, transparent, and stress-free.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an engineering degree and bring an engineering mindset to my work, combined with years of hands-on experience in residential projects. That means I focus on understanding how things are built, how systems interact, and how to fix issues the right way — not just the fastest way. Along with formal education, I’ve completed a wide range of home repairs, installations, painting, light carpentry, and property maintenance work. I follow manufacturer guidelines, proven building practices, and applicable local requirements, and I use professional-grade tools to deliver consistent, quality results. This combination of technical thinking and practical experience helps ensure durable, well-thought-out solutions for each project.
