I live in Galveston and I took my 10 month old corgi pup to Aloha after not being very satisfied with the results from local obedience classes. Taking Macy to Kevin and the Aloha facility was well worth the drive! I couldn't be happier with the training Macy received there. She came home a much calmer and mannerly dog, while still retaining her cute, saucy personality. We live in a high rise condo and it's important to me to have a well behaved dog. Macy is now very well versed in basic commands and Kevin also helped us address a couple of unique issues with city traffic and condo living. The Aloha facility itself is very impressive. It's is well planned out and the board and train program offers some extras I thought were really great. The ability to to remotely view the dogs in real time was a major comfort, especially the first few days when separation anxiety was high. Kevin communicated with us on a daily basis and sent many pictures showing their activities at every step of the training program. He also promptly addressed all of our questions and concerns throughout, with the added bonus of his very likeable, approachable personality and great sense of humor. One of the components I liked best about Kevin's program were the multiple daily "pack walks". Macy got to experience off leash walks with other dogs who were being boarded or trained at the facility which includes acres of fenced in gorgeous, natural terrain. The pictures Kevin sent reflected just how much Macy enjoyed the walks. As a result, she is now very calm when we encounter other dogs in our dog friendly complex and on walks, or at the dog park. I'm happy to say I received exactly what I hoped for for Macy with Kevin at Aloha. I honestly and without reservation give Aloha my highest recommendation. It's worth the drive, however far!

I'm very please with Sit Means Sit Dog Training in Belton, TX. The communication was excellent and I noticed results within one week of training with my dog Leo. The training is easy to learn and the group classes help my dog learn at a faster pace with the distraction of other dogs. I found that in targeting my dog's intelligence we have a stronger connection and we can both help each other. Robin has been amazing also, as have the other trainers! Thank you Sit Means Sit!

Went to Canine Academy for training with my 9 month old German Shepherd puppy. He had reached the stage where if something doesn't change, he would have to go. I talked to Lisa, the owner, who told me that the toughest time was between 8 and 14 months, and that she was confident training would help. We went, and it did! The training was casual but focused. My 11 y/o daughter came with and spent a lot of time working with the dog. It's obvious the instructors know what they are doing and have had experience with many types of dogs. I would absolutely recommend this place...and I have!

I can’t say enough about Jennifer and Lucky Star Dog Training. I have a 1yr old Shepard that had behavioral issues. I dropped him off at Jennifer’s lovely home facility, and 3 weeks later picked up a totally different dog! Jennifer taught him basic obedience, manners, and he had zero social issues with other dogs. She taught me how to communicate with him and consistently reinforce behaviors. I have a happy, fun, obedient dog I can take anywhere! Amazing!

I've worked with Becca for almost a year. I started as a volunteer under her supervision, and I began fostering a service dog in training (4 month old lab puppy) shortly thereafter. I've attended several of her classes and participated in service dog specific training with my foster dog puppy. Her methods are totally volitional, which was a new concept for me for training a dog, and I was amazed to see the results. There was nothing but positive reinforcement and an overabundant desire to educate her students so that they would get visible results. Becca always clearly communicated the lesson, outlined the steps, the goal of the exercise, and assisted her students personally when they struggled with either their dog or the concept. She is extremely patient, an effective speaker, provides awesome illustrative examples of the topic, and writes notes for those to practice at home. She is clearly passionate about her work and dedicated to dog owners and their dogs. I highly recommend Becca for assessments, training of all kinds, and boarding services. She is truly a dog lover and understands our four-legged friends more than I could hope to.

I found Julie while I was exploring the variety of things (shows, events, competitions) my dog could experience. I was referred to her for instruction in what is called Nosework (a fun search and scenting activity). Through this experience Julie has introduced me to methods of training that have developed my relationship with my dog I didn’t know was possible. Buddy (my 70 lb rescued mutt) and I are growing every day in our understanding of each other. I can better understand his behavior cues and He understands what I’m asking of Him.

The services Corinna provides are invaluable. My fiancé and I adopted a 1 year old Shetland Sheepdog, Roy, half a year ago and we have been struggling with his behavioral issues on a daily basis ever since. As responsible dog parents, we immediately signed Roy up for a 6 week training session at Petco. While it was a great start, it did not fix our main problem of him barking and lunging at strangers. A few weeks later, being at a desperate state of mind, we signed him up for 10 more training sessions with a different trainer that came highly recommended by a peer. Thousands of dollars later and we did not see the results. We began to lose hope. We finally decided to give Roy to Corinna for board and train. I was hesitant at first because I wanted to be the one to do the training so Roy can learn to listen to me. However, Corinna explained that everything Roy will learn is transferable. Corinna was very patient and answered all of our questions to make us feel comfortable with the process. She even sent us photos and videos of Roy and the progress they were making every couple of days. We were in complete disbelief to see what Corinna has done. She completely transformed Roy from an anxious and stressed out dog into an obedient, happy dog. She has done the unimaginable in just 2 weeks. We saw significant improvement after just a few days and the progress that other trainers were not able to achieve in months. When it was time for us to take Roy back, Corinna spent hours teaching us how to speak/interact with Roy. She was completely accurate in saying that everything she has taught Roy is transferable. We are finally able to take Roy out for long walks stress free! If you want to enjoy your dog sign him up for classes with Corinna! She is a magician :)

Michelle was fantastic! She came to my home to work with me and my puppy, Bennet. We worked on all kinds of things from obedience to loose leash walking to greeting other people and dogs. Bennet has been making such progress, I don't know what we would do without Michelle's help!

    About

We specialize in dog boarding, training, and full-service grooming. Our boarding facility consists of 64 indoor/outdoor runs, and the inside is climate-controlled. We have a 3200-square foot training center and 2 certified dog trainers on site.

    About

We offer a full range of classes to fit everybody's needs within your family. From puppy training, family-friendly classes, adolescent to adult dog training, agility dog training, stay and train, private lessons, outdoor behavior training, to fear and aggression behavior counseling, and more. In all our training programs, our main purpose is to support quality relationships between canine and human family members. Hearts and Paws programs, based on learning theory, use reward-based methods. Educating the dog the proper behavior as the best choice minimizes the need for frequent corrections and lessens the frequency of the wrong behavior. This methodology promotes more attention and affinity from your dog to you. Attending one of our regularly scheduled home manners classes is a good way to know more about all of our classes. "Together For Life" is our motto. We offer free home manner classes, because national studies reveal that most dogs handed over to shelters are owner-surrendered-misbehaving adolescents. This class is designed to provide you strategies and information that will help you deal with problems such as digging, barking, chewing, running off, house-training, jumping up, and more. We want to assist you in keeping your dog and having a quality relationship. To find out how you can attend, visit our website, and click on "Home Manners".

For the Family 4-legged friend it is essential to evaluate the dog behavior in conjunction with the animal's environment and the realistic expectations of the owner/owners. Guard/K-9 training requires a different evaluation, as does guide or search/rescue training. In addition to training I also am intimately involved in rescue work in more than one country. I also work with wolf and wolf hybrid species. My first pet was an alligator that was to be put down (rescued & still living) and 4 White Shepherds. I use non GMO treats/food .I provide a thorough evaluation for free and should any behavioral difficulties appear in the future will re-educate at no charge. My primary focus is to unite in harmony our furry friends with our life style. Since I recently arrived on this site I am still in the midst of completing a more comprehensive profile. I also provide massage therapy.
