FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically price by project versus by hour. I am very efficient and have been doing this most of my life in one form or another. I consider how much the lead costs from the app. What personal expenses I will incur using my stock supplies (screws, caulk, shims, washers, etc...). And the time / labor and technical skill required. I average about $70 per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Big on communication and truly understanding the customer’s needs. Not just about fixing the issue - but identifying what caused the issue and how to avoid future issues. I also enjoy teaching when I can. Best example is garbage disposals. Many of disposals I am hired to change out just need the blades turned and reset.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Best training was hands on experience with my father. I am a registered nurse and can think quick on my feet and critically to troubleshoot issues. I also have Masters degrees in Healthcare Administration from Texas State and an MBA from Duke.
