Jeana is a wonderful person! She has and is doing so much for me and my children!! We've come along way. We are still on the journey, but she is helping us navigate the bumpy road and it is getting smoother. We all appreciate her so much.

My husband and I went in for our first session, which turned out to be a disaster. My husband brought up a tender subject, as typically happens in marriage counseling, and Jeana took his side immediately. While I could agree on several of her points, she congratulated his openness to accept fault (not in the least bit the way he acts at home) and honed in on labeling me for not accepting fault. She asked with disdain what counselors had told me before about my "condition" and made assumptions about me that were inappropriate and downright wrong. We were specifically discussing the possibility of having a baby and one approach she took to talk me out of it was stating that it would be her right to call CPS on us and have this "yet unborn" baby ripped out of my arms. I was devastated. I was shocked. I started crying and the attacks didn't stop. This is where she labeled me and got an attitude. This is NOT a safe place for a struggling couple or individual to go. When my husband and I had to cancel our second session because of unfortunate situations that came up, they charged us over $200 and were not understanding at all. Do not go to Jeana for marriage counseling. I have never felt so humiliated and more depressed after leaving a "safe place" counselor in my life.

Jeana has provided me with a safe place to heal for many months now. She has always been professional, non-judgemental, empathetic, attentive, and kind, yet direct with me in helping me navigate through the struggles I am facing. She's been an incredible partner in my journey to finding peace and strength. She is so intuitive, I often feel as if she is reading my mind even when I am not around her. I feel very fortunate that I found her.

Jeana has been a constant in my life for several years and I look to her as a trusted partner in my life decision process. Her style is engaging yet direct and empowering. My experience working with Jeana was transformational for me and it can be for you too. She's smart, intuitive, realistic and shows a keen understanding of all types of issues. I truly don't know where I would be without her coaching and interest in my life.

Jeanna provided me a great deal of support and healthy and rational thinking and guidance as I transitioned out of a long, dysfunctional and toxic relationship. Jeanna puts you at ease which allows you to be open about difficult and very personal subject matters.

Jeana is a wonderful partner in personal empowerment and development. She has an uncanny memory and intuitive sense which adds another level of depth to the counseling experience. It is obvious she has a true passion for her profession and a real sense of care for the people in which she provides guidance. She is a breath of fresh air and provides another way of viewing situations to people going throughvarious life transitions.

Jeana saved my life at a moment where I thought I had lost everything. Jeana helped me rebuild myself after more than a decade of moral and physical abuse. Jeana knows how to listen and make you feel comfortable so you can really express everything you have on your mind and in your heart. I highly recommend Jeana as your choice of therapist!

I am so thankful that I found Jeana and A Safe Place To Heal. I have only been seeing Jeana for a few months but I am already beginning to see some changes. I have been living with severe anxiety for many years with it affecting every area of my life. Jeana is teaching me how to manage and deal with my anxiety. She is very easy to talk to and constantly reminds me that I am worth something. I look forward to seeing her every week!

I've been seeing Jeana for several years, and she's helped me by being the only person in my life who is nonjudgmental. She is the safe haven I go to who helps me see that I am indeed a person of worth, and then from that place goes on to help me figure out what I can do to make my life better. She's always there for me, and will do anything she can to help me. The entire office is professional and caring, and you feel that the moment you step in there. I would recommend her to anyone who needs kind, supportive help.

I've been with Jeana for a little over 3 years. That pretty much says it all. She's amazing!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge an hourly rate.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I complete continuing education annually. 12 hours per year is required by the board. I typically do more.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I took a psychology course when I was 19 and I just knew I wanted to do something in the helping profession. I researched options and decided I wanted to be an LPC my sophomore year at Texas A&M.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Listen, discuss, troubleshoot, collaborate, and problem solve.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recognized that a young woman had been misdiagnosed for over 20 years. I suspected she was having seizures, not autism so she went to a neurologist. She was suffering from seizures since birth and no one knew.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure you click! Connecting with your therapist and feeling safe is imperative. If you don't after the initial appointment, listen to your gut!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
So many people say, "I could never do what you do! I would take it home with me." Actually, I see a great deal of positive change. Therapy is not just about experiencing pain.
