The movers were great but the owner and the move could have been better. I was charged $80 an hour for 2 men + $80 for the truck. They were very responsive with getting me scheduled initially, even booked my move early which was great. In their defense, I had to reschedule because of a key issue with my new home. That was $100 inconvenience fee, but then when we rescheduled for the next day between 12:30 and 2 PM, they were nearly 4 hours late outside the window I was given. I was told somewhere around 4 PM they were on their way and it would be roughly 40 minutes. Around 5 PM I get a call they’re on their way and they’re 39 minutes away. They get to my storage unit at 6 and start loading. No problem, there, they took care of everything and were professional. It took 3 hours and of course it was time to pay. I felt like I should have been discounted rather than charged more. While I had to reschedule my original date, I still hired them to do the job and I felt like I was just squeezed in because the owner tries to get as many moves scheduled as possible. The only reasons why I stuck it out is because my husband is away on business and I was moving out of a hotel into a new home with my 3 kids and dog

However, I want to offer my most sincere apology for the unacceptable aspects of your experience. Arriving nearly four hours beyond the given window is not the standard of service we aim to provide, and the poor communication regarding the delay only added to the frustration. I completely understand why you felt you should have been discounted, and frankly, you should have been.
Reading about the stressful situation you were in—managing the move from a hotel with your three children and dog while your husband was away—makes it clear that we let you down when you needed reliability the most. For that, I am truly sorry.
On that day, the preceding job ran significantly longer than anticipated plus the weather was raining throughout the day, which led to the cascade of delays that impacted your move. While this is an explanation, it is not an excuse. Your feeling of being "squeezed in" is valid and highlights a flaw in our scheduling process that I am now personally reviewing to ensure this does not happen to another customer.
