About this pro
Mrs. Luz has been teaching my 3 year old son Spanish for about 3 months now. She has a lot of patience For children. He’s learning while playing and doesnt even realize it. She teaches based on where they are with their current English language. Pictures show her singing with him about washing your face etc and showing different body parts. Our family couldn’t have picked a better teacher for our son. Thanks Mrs. Luz!!May 17, 2018Verified

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I have different prices, depend on: * One on One, one student: $35 * Two students at the same time: $30 e/o * Group of four, at the same time: $25 e/o NO contract NO tuition ONLY, the students need to pay ONE MONTH IN ADVANCE. After that, the students can stop or cancel the classes. If they start a new month, they have to pay the complete month. REASONS: The students come to take my Spanish class voluntarily, so they can stop the class in the same way. No grades, no tests, only homework, good attitude, great energy, and enthusiastic to learn SPANISH.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?First, the new student has to want to learn Spanish because, the student knows the benefit to get this new language. I explain my Spanish program and the process to get it in a easy and fun way. The new customer, needs to bring a binder con 3 holes paper sheets, pencil and colors. She/he makes the first Spanish book; then the student needs a few Spanish grammar books and some Spanish reading books. I will record the reading and talking exorcises.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I have a Speech Language Pathology and Audiologist bachelor degree from Colombia, my native country, since 1973. In addition, I got my Bilingual Spanish Teacher Certification from St. Thomas University Houston in 2003. I have been working with children and adults with needs, and in US with elementary children as a Bilingual teacher. Actually, I am a former teacher and decided to create my own Spanish program accordantly with my huge experience, My class is amazing, fun, full of pictures, toys, reading books, magazines, paper works and fake foods, vehicles, domestic /wild /sea/ artic animals, part of the house, places, jobs etc. In brief, the students will love and enjoy my class.
