Ashta Yoga focuses on offering private personal, partner, mental health, addiction recovery and group yoga sessions based upon the traditional Ashtanga practice. We are an excellent choice for corporate yoga wellness programs. We are beginner friendly, all inclusive and teach proven methods to maintain wellness. The Ashtanga practice is a tried and true practice that for Millie has helped its practitioners realize optimum physical and mental health. Ashtanga is very different from the westernized yoga we have come to know. The Ashtanga Yoga Practice: 1. Regulates weight and tones the muscles 2. Relaxes the mind and body 3. Reduces anxiety and depression 4. Induces concentration and overall mental acumen 5. Teaches us how to live in healthy union within our community. Ashtanga yoga is an 8 limbed practice: 1. Movement 2 Breathing 3. Personal ethics 4. Social ethics 5. Sense withdrawal (detachment) 6. Meditation 7. Maintaining meditation 8. Contentment Ashta Yoga's approach to teaching is traditional. The students and teachers work together in such a way that the student comes to learn how to practice the 8 limbs in daily life. The goal is for the teacher to be less and less needed. The student will able to cultivate contentment anytime and anywhere with the breath, body and mind only. The Ashtanga practice coupled with Aryurveda (ancient science of health) and sacred texts may be used as a spiritual practice, a yoga class, spiritual healing, life coaching and more. Ashta Yoga does not outsource. I am the only teacher. I was taught under a sacred linage and studied and lived in India as well. Yoga is stilling the fluctuations of the mind Everything action should embody stability and ease in equal measure. Stability and ease result in physical and mindful balance of life. I recently met Sarah for a private yoga session in my home and was beyond impressed with her yoga knowledge and experience. She understood my needs and concerns as I recently recovered from knee surgery. She knew which specific poses would help me strengthen the areas I need to as I continue to recover. She backed up everything she taught me from her yoga book and explained how and why they should be my targets. She can focus on yoga theories as well as the various poses. In the hour we were practicing, I learned so much! I do recommend Sarah for any types of Ashtanga yoga sessions as she seems to know her stuff and has the perfect personality that would seem to fit any environment!

My husband and I have been working with Sarah since spring of this year. It's been fantastic. Sarah does a great job of assessing her client's needs and tailoring each session to meet those needs. My husband's flexibility has improved greatly and we've consistently been able to accomplish more each week. It's also been a uniquely special way for us to connect. Highly recommend for anyone whose curious in the practice of yoga!

Of the many methods I’ve tried, this is by far the best type of therapy for me. The perfect blend of physical and mental strengthening I’ve been searching for.
