- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I teach yoga as a way of giving back to underserved communities. We are happy to collaborate with anyone interested in obtaining class donations for a deserving, underprivileged community that can use the gift of yoga.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Ask if they are registered to teach yoga through Yoga Alliance. If so, at what level? There is a prescribed curriculum meeting Yoga Alliance guidelines by yoga schools registered with them. There are several levels of experience but teacher training is usually at the 200 hour or 500 hour certification. All Yogajax instructors are Registered Yoga Teachers. :)
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Western yoga as we teach it is not about religion in any way. It is mind-body practice and is non-dogmatic. Yoga asana is a physical practice that unites breath and movement, comfort and exertion, strength and flexibility...all of which can be done by people of all faiths.
