Christine worked with my 8 year old autistic daughter with both recreational therapy and aquatic therapy. In the course of about 6 weeks, I saw my daughter go from completely falling apart when she had to do hard schoolwork to being able to say, "This is very hard for me, and I'm feeling frustrated. Can you help me?" I can't tell you how HUGE that is for an autistic child! I highly recommend Christine and Community REC Therapies.Nov 16, 2011
I met Jessica when she was 28 years old. She has cerebral palsy from birth. Jessica spent most of her time in her room on the floor watching T.V. and listening to books on tape. Jessica thought her life was just fine, not knowing how much she was missing. I married her father and began looking for services to help her expand her world and improve her body physically. We met Christine and changes began to happen. Christine started recreational and aquatic therapy with Jessica. They would plan activites and go out to lunch, to the movies, shopping, all the things that most young women do all the time. Jessica began to look forward to the outings. Then Christine started aquatic therapy, and whithin a short time Jessica was becoming stronger and able to walk much better with her walker. I know Christine not only provided the therapies mentioned about, but she also helped Jessica assert herself and make her own decisions. Jessica was becoming more independant which was the next step in her life. A year ago Jessica moved into a group home. She is extremly happy and is thriving in the home. We know that Christine played a hugh part in preparing her for this move. Jessica and Christine would talk about being independant and how much work that would involve. Jessica began to see the advantage of moving away from her dad. Not only did Christine help Jessica improve her life, but she was there for me when I was having a difficult time dealing with issuses as the step-mother. Christine always was interested in all aspects of our family and she made sure that Jessica understood how to respect and get along as a family. We miss having Christine in our lives and would highly recommend her dedication and expertise to improve your child's life. You have found the right professional therapy company for your family!Dec 16, 2011
