My name is Jaime Varela. I am a professional guitarist/ musician with over 29 years of professional experience. I play solo (or with my band “Jaime Varela 3rio”) a wide variety of musical genres from rock to blues and specializing in Jazz instrumental guitar, perfect for any type of event, private or corporate. Session musician working on over 18 recordings, bands and music projects in Central America and the United States. You can easily spot me playing all over Texas and in northern Florida during the summer. Guitarist at heart but also well versed in banjo, mandolin, ukulele and bass guitar.

Jaime was absolutely phenomenal. Communicated very well, super polite, arrived early, and played/sang beautifully. My (now fiancé) was in tears as I proposed. Jaime will be the first person I call when I need another guitarist for an event or special day. If I could give him 6 out of 5 stars I would.

Jaime did a wonderful job playing for the ceremony and cocktail hour at our wedding. I had a few very specific acoustic covers I wanted for the ceremony. Jaime sent me demos to make sure I was comfortable with the sound and everything sounded beautiful. He was also really responsive and kind. We were happy to have him and would definitely reach out to him again for future events.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! I came to Thumb Tack after a couple of other music options fell through and I am soooo happy those other options didn’t work out. We happy a small brunch time wedding and needed jazzy and bluesy live music. Jamie had a wide range of songs in his repertoire. Every song we requested we was able to create a guitar arrangement for it. My wife wanted to walk out to the “Wedding Song” by Kenny G and “Let Stay Together” by Al Green for the processional. Jamie perfectly executed both of them. He even sent us a short video of him performing those songs ahead of time. You can tell this guy loves what he does. He smiled the entire time. Everyone at our event loved the music and loved Jamie’s energy. My wife and I are now trying to think about when we can throw another event just so we have Jamie play again lol.
