FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It's not very complicated. The more you meet, the more of a discount you get on the initial rate. When I build a schedule with a client after their complimentary assessment session, we discuss price and frequency of meetings based on their physical evaluation and convenience.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been studying Nutrition at UTSA along with the Exercise Science degree that I am pursuing, so I have a good amount of knowledge in regards to nutrition and building diet plans. I am about to test for my Cross Fit Level 2 Certification, making me a walking Cross Fit Affiliate (I am already a coach). I also stay up to date on the latest Pro Magazines from the American Council of Exercise and do other sorts of fitness related research most days of the week.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been involved in fitness and athletics since the age of 6, and I feel like it has shaped my life in a positive way. I began doing internships with occupation and physical therapists and I knew that I wanted something that could be slightly more fast paced. I explored the option of being an athletic trainer and realized that I felt too stagnant in a sport specific field. Eventually, I saw what some of my friends who were personal trainers were doing with their clients and it clicked that this was for me. Personal training has allowed me to do a range of things from help people with everyday functional movements as well as train people at an elite level, such as the pursuit of Division I athletics and professional sports.
