- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The pricing for each services depends on how much labor is involved. We offer the lowest prices possible, while still being able to support our family with a profit. Clients may not realize that we have to take into consideration the cost of gas, disposal fees, and equipment costs when determining an estimate. I try to work with our clients & break up the work into sections to be completed as the client can pay. I also do price matching - if you find someone to do it cheaper, I will match their price! Just show me the written estimate.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
After working in the oil field for a few years and dealing with a non-stop on call schedule, I decided it was time for a change. There is nothing better than working for yourself and being able to make time for your family. I love working with my hands and completing projects, so this business seemed like the obvious choice for me. Slowly, but surely I am gaining momentum & leaving satisfied customers along the way!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Trust & estimates! First of all, as a husband & father, I know that you need to be able to trust the person you are inviting to your home. Double J is a family business and I have a great respect for our client's privacy & home. Your confidence & trust is something that I intend on earning & keeping. I have completed the background check offered by Thumbtack to further prove this fact to prospective customers - I am a professional company run by an upstanding community member. Second, get an estimate! I never ask my clients to pay for an estimate because I believe that part of my job is to win your business. Having me come by for an estimate will also give you the opportunity to meet me face to face BEFORE you decide to do business with me. I also offer price matching so if you are quoted a cheaper estimate through someone else, show me, and I will do it at the same price. Double J does these things in hopes that I am providing you with peace of mind in regards to your budget & security.
