About
I'm LaShaude James, an award-winning corporate magician and mind reader based in San Antonio, specializing in polished, interactive magic for professional, adult audiences. With an MBA and years as a small-business owner, I understand timelines, goals, and professional environments, so every performance is tailored to your event rather than a generic one-size-fits-all act. As the former Vice President of the San Antonio chapter of the Society of American Magicians, I bring proven skill and high standards. I regularly perform for rooms of 300+ guests and offer walkaround, stage/parlor, and hybrid options. No cheesy jokes, no awkward volunteers, no cringe moments. Just clean humor, professional pacing, and shared moments your team will still be talking about on Monday. Perfect for client receptions, holiday parties, awards nights, conferences, and leadership retreats.

I cannot say enough amazing things about the magician we hired for our son’s 15th birthday party! He was absolutely PHENOMENAL. We had a house full of teenagers, which is not always the easiest crowd to impress, and he had every single one of them completely locked in from beginning to end.
The magic itself was incredible, but the mind-reading absolutely blew us away. There were things he did that we STILL cannot explain. weeks later, we are still talking about certain tricks and trying to figure out how in the world he possibly pulled them off. 😂 Every time we think we have an explanation, we realize it still doesn’t make sense!
What impressed me most was how well he connected with the kids. He made the entire experience fun, interactive, funny, and genuinely entertaining without ever feeling cheesy or like something meant for little kids. These were 14 and 15-year-olds, and he had them completely amazed. The reactions alone were priceless.
Our son’s 15th birthday was such a special day for us, and this ended up being one of the biggest highlights of the entire party. The kids were talking about it afterward, the adults were talking about it, and apparently we’re STILL talking about it!!
If you are considering hiring him for an event, DO IT. I would hire him again in a heartbeat. He completely exceeded our expectations and gave my son and his friends an experience they will remember for a very long time. Truly worth every penny and easily a 10/10 experience! 👏🏼🎩✨

The mind reading is my favorite part too. I love that you are still trying to figure it out weeks later. That is the goal. Not just a trick, but a story your family keeps telling.
Thank you for trusting me with a day that mattered. If you ever want to do it again, my calendar is open.

I don't know how he does what he does, but LaShaude had me completely stumped! And I loved every second of it. He's the kind of performer who works a room well, which makes him a great fit for corporate events where you need something that gets people engaged. If you're trying to figure out whether to book him, just do it. Your guests will thank you.

Highly professional and personable magician. While the magic is great and VERY mind blowing, the connection Lashaude is able to make with his clients is top tier. You won't regret hiring Lashaude for your event!
