I highly (!) recommend Yansiel - he is a perfectionist and the quality of his work is self-evident.
It is, however, his ability to quickly understand the scope of the job; put everyone who sits in his chair at ease; and develop a strong rapport with the entire creative team as well as the talent that sets him apart from other HMUAs and reasons I would hire him again and again. Plus, he went above and beyond the original scope of the job by staying onset longer than anticipated AND by making himself available for a second day of shooting - with a 5:45 a.m. call time!
Although this was the first time we worked together, I felt like I had known Yansiel for years as opposed to only hours because of his professionalism and his kind personality.
P.S. I think it's important to note that I am an editorial and fashion stylist with more than 15 years of experience. I've worked with many, many HMUAs in various cities throughout the country, and I highly endorse Yansiel.

I’m so so grateful for Yansiel. I had another make up artist that cancelled on me last minute, but now I’m glad that that happened because Yansiel is even a much better makeup artist! He was patient and willing to listen to what we want. He takes pride in his work and he is very very talented. I feel so beautiful on my wedding day! I can’t thank him enough!

He was amazing!! We contacted him last minute and he totally came through. I had my make up done for my sons wedding and as much as I cried through the day my make up looked like I had just put it on when I got home!! I would 100% recommend him.

Yansiel did my makeup and hair for my sons wedding. He listened to what I wanted and did an excellent job. He was professional, responsive, punctual and the work was wonderful.
