FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I bill on a monthly basis. Payable at the beginning of each month. Students who wish to pay quarterly are welcome to do so as well. I send invoices through paypal and do prefer this method, however I do accept other forms of payment as stated above. My rate is $70 an hr 35 on the half and 50 dollars for 45 min lessons. I do offer a 10% discount on purchase of 6 or more lessons at a time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step should be getting to meet your new teacher. I think the best way to do that is in a free introductory lesson. That way both student and teacher get a chance to talk and work together for the first time to see if they are a good fit. Thats why at Signature Singing your first lesson is absolutely free. You can book directly from my website under 1st lesson. If you are satisfied with the lesson and wish to move forward, then we would schedule recurring lessons that fit with your schedule.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a professional vocalist and teacher of voice for over twenty years. I have performed multiple styles of music both here in the states and abroad. I was trained at Texas State University and Indiana University. After Graduating from Texas State I moved to Indiana and attended Indiana University from 2002 -04 where I was afforded many performance opportunities in fact my first professional opera engagement came through the university. As a result I left school in the middle of my masters degree to pursue a professional career in opera and this has continued to the present day. During this time I have always taught because its what fuels me. I have a passion to share what I've learned with others. I have bachelors from Texas State 2001 and I now teach Voice at San Antonio College. I have been there since 2012. From 2014-2017 I taught at Performing Arts San Antonio. Prior to that I taught for the Bulverde Academy of music from 2006-2012. While at the academy I was also teaching privately for NEISD & NISD at Marshall, O'conner, Madison, Holmes, Stephens, and Warren High Schools respectively. I continue to sing concerts and perform in operas on a regular basis here both locally and across the United States.
