- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer 1/2 hr. lessons for $26; 45-min lessons for $38; 1 hr. lessons for $50. For young children with shorter attention spans, we also offer 15-min lessons for $14. Ask about our family discounts for 2, 3 or more in a family taking lessons from us.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Come take your first lesson and see how you like it! We think you'll want to come back the next week, but there is no obligation. Let us know what instrument you want to learn or improve on, what length lesson and what your schedule is like, and we'll match you up with a great instructor!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bruce and I each earned our music degrees at SWTSU/TxState University in San Marcos (his in Music Performance--Percussion, and mine in Music Education, All-Level with Voice, Piano and Flute concentration). We have both taught extensively in the public and private school settings with students of all age groups, young and old. All of our other instructors have either earned or are earning their Music degrees a/o have vast experience performing on their instruments. Besides overseeing Music Retreat, we perform in bands (jazz and wedding bands) and orchestras. I also direct church choir and a German choir (we sing in German only), and have directed elementary, middle and high school choirs and band.
