After being faced with my 3rd layoff in Jan 2016, I knew I had to change my approach to the traditional employment paradigm. I've always been a consistent top performer and always believed that my position was safe so long as I continued delivering results. However, this has not been what happens in my experience. Why? Because performers cost the company money. Yes, we make them money, but there are people in the decision loop who believes they can get the same results for less money. How can you protect yourself against a potential future layoff? YOU CAN'T! At least not following a traditional employee/employer relationship. WHAT CAN YOU DO? If all you do is to keep chasing your tail by doing nothing more than finding another job? You are not helping yourself. You need to find a way to generate some additional income stream that required very little time and effort on your part. I didn't have a clue where to start, but I did know that building an ecommerce website was one potential option for creating a hedge against the threat of any future unemployment and it could potentially be much much more! This is where Division X really shined for me. I at least had an idea for the website and that was the full extent of my knowledge. When I reached out to Tony at Division X, he not only spent several hours on the phone with me to help walk me through everything I would need, but he offered to help take a great many of them off of my plate. Tony had my domain, interface and shop set up within a couple of hours. There were several things that I simply could not figure out to do and that frankly were not Tony's responsibility to handle, but he took care of these issues when I asked and also sometimes when I didn't ask, but he could see I was struggling. How many of the big. name hosting platforms would or even could provide you with that level of service? No, it's not easy, I have challenges with the business every day, but without the help Tony has given me over the last year, I can confidently state that I never would have been able to get it off the ground. Lastly, Tony help me set realistic expectations for my new business. Yes, it take additional financial commitments to really push the needle. Unlike most of America, I'm not a fan of social media. Tony picked up on this and offered to run my social media campaign for me and at a fraction of the cost found elsewhere online! The bottom line is simple, you can't allow someone else to be the only thing between you and unemployment. You NEED to protect yourself with various additional forms of passive income as a hedge against financial ruin of you are laid off or fired. One of the least expensive options is a by building an online business or multiple online business. If you like the idea of taking some of the power over your own life back, Tony will always exceed your expectations and he'll never leave you disappointed. I have however, left him completely confused with some of my how to questions that require him to ask many more questions for him to figure out what I'm talking about. I can say without a doubt that you will NOT get the same levers of service anywhere on the web. Thanks Tony for helping me get Tools for Liberty off the ground!
Aymie was great to work with. We had a preliminary meeting where she took copious notes about what we needed. She kept us updated on progress through-out her redesign. Her final product was ready ahead of schedule and has been seamlessly integrated onto our host server. We couldn't have had a better website designer.

I retained Heartfire to develop a brand, logo and website for my newly launched wine consultancy. Their creative team did an excellent job of coming up with multiple options to choose from and we ended up going with a brand/name/logo, "FineWining", I would not have thought possible at the outset. They brought in a web designer who brought together a number of different pieces to artfully construct my website while also offering excellent counsel on navigation, site security and business protocol (contact, payment, etc.) issues. I have received very favorable feedback on the site from other wine professionals and will be retaining Heartfire to broaden my consultancy and website through both social media outreach and local PR efforts. I'm a bit a customer service fanatic - rarely/never give an excellent rating - and on balance I found them responsive and effective with their follow-up. We had one small hiccup - hence the "Good" rating - and realistically I would rate them between "Good" and "Excellent". I would not hesitate to recommend them and the best evidence I can offer is that I will continue to use them.
Barsec is the best! We had not-so-great experiences working with web designers prior to Barsec. That all changed with Barsec, they were able to finalize and execute our vision on time and within budget. Not only that, but after our website refresh was complete, they are always available for questions or minor tweaks that came up. They entire team is responsive, timely, and experts in this field. We would recommend Barsec to anyone looking for website work.
