When we get together, I start with a discussion with you and your fiance and get to know you better. Then I'm able to personalize a perfect wedding script for you. I find out what is important to you and your family as part of the ceremony and I am very flexible. For example, if you want to write your own vows and memorize them, you can. If you need help writing vows, I'll help you as part of my fee and I'm happy to send you sample vows as well. I help you pick out any readings you want and any custom or ritual you want. I love helping people in love tie the knot and have a memorable day! I offer weddings for any faith and would be happy to include any rituals that are important to you. I also offer interfaith, Jewish, Christian, non-denominational, non-religious, and same sex. I also have officiated over 350 weddings in Spanish! The wedding is all about the couple and their beliefs and what makes the day perfect for them. In addition to this fee there is a charge for travel, otherwise everything is included.
I love helping people who are in love make their wedding special and memorable for them. I love hearing how they met and what they love about each other and how they knew he or she was the right one for them. Leslie was spectacular to work with, if you are looking for a weddingofficiant, we highly recommend her. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
If it's a simple wedding and only one trip is required and it's up to 25 miles away, I charge between $195 and $225. My highest fee for anywhere in the DFW metroplex is $245. My price includes performing the wedding, signing the license, helping with vows, designing the perfect ceremony with you! If I need to travel multiple times, i.e. once for the rehearsal and then again for the wedding and travel is far, I might add a cost but will let you know up front.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When asked to officiate a wedding, I like to have a preliminary discussion with the couple to understand the key elements they want in their ceremony. Things like will we mention G-d, how do they want to refer to Him, what rituals do they want in it. Do they want me to suggest vows, do they want to write their own, do they want me to have them repeat vows after me, memorize or read from paper. I basically understand the logistics they want so the wedding is everything they want it to be.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked with young adults and students for over 40 years for special events in their life. I have years of counseling and planning. I am an ordained Liberal Rabbi and with that title am qualified to officiate any wedding. I have performed over 400 weddings, including Jewish, interfaith, non-religious, non-denominational Christian, and same sex. I have also done over 350 weddings in Spanish!
