FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to keep the pricing system as simple as possible. There's on-site (home, office, or meeting place) labor, and then there's in-house labor (all work takes place in my workshop). On-site labor is $70/hr, billable in 15 minute increments after the initial hour. In house labor is $45/hr, with a maximum of four (4) hours work time. Labor charges do not include parts. Some services are flat fee services, such as screen replacement for mobile devices (laptops, smartphones, tablets). The fee is $65 + parts.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly reading, applying new concepts in my lab, and testing for certifications in new technologies.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I would say I get more calls for laptop repairs and home networking issues, than anything else, as far as residential services are concerned. Lately, I've been installing quite a few home media servers.
