- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have a basic pricing structure for Pet sitting, House Sitting, and Dog Walking. We are open to discussing pet discounts when multiple pets are involved. We will do our utmost to accommodate your needs as well as your pets. Drop-in Visits Start at $35/30 mins for dogs Drop-in Visits Start at $25/30mins for cats Dog walking Starts at $30/30 mins Overnight Starts at $100/night
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For all new customers, we set up a personal free Meet & Greet appointment in your home which typically takes a minimum of 30 minutes. Meet and Greets are an important part of the process of booking a pet carer because it provides an opportunity for the pet owner, the pet, and the pet carer to get to know each other to make sure that we are all happy and a comfortable fit.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Over the many years we have been married, we have looked after dogs and cats, young and old, plus parrots, finches, canaries, ferrets, hamsters, rabbits, lizards, chameleons, saltwater aquariums, donkeys, and monkeys. And we loved them all and are happy to look after all of these animals and more, for you! We hired pet sitters ourselves when we had busy executive careers, so have learned what works and what doesn't from the customer's perspective ... We don't treat cats like dogs, or vice versa. We understand how important companionship and play are for both cats and dogs and of course, those walks for your dogs. Our visits are not just checking a box and moving on to the next place. Each visit is conducted in a deeply thoughtful, custom, caring manner. In my earlier career, I was a microbiologist specializing in the poultry industry and worked on a research farm with sheep and horses. I also worked for a Veterinarian that worked with Exotic animals. We treated snakes (not my favorite), ferrets, iguanas, parrots, and small mammals.
