FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've apprenticed under multiple dog trainers, from the West to the East coast, with 7 years experience working professionally. I still consider myself a student, as I treat every day and every new dog as a chance to learn and understand more about our k9 companions.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always loved dogs, it was my first work at 11 years old walking dogs for 2 dollars an hour. It only made sense that I would get a dog as soon as I got my own place. I adopted a reactive Rottweiler, hoping to spare him from the euthanasia list, and found myself in over my head. I sought out help, and watched how a dog could be transformed with the right leadership. I immediately asked to apprentice under that trainer. Since then, I've loved working with dogs, learning through experience and time. And as a stay at home mother, dog training is still a passion of mine, so I offer my services at a competitive discount to reach more people in need. I travel to families, hold sessions in my home, offer board and train one dog at a time, and doggy day care and train! Every dog is a treasure, and I'm here to see families whole again with their furry family members.
