As a Christian wedding officiant, I believe marriage is a sacred covenant between a husband and wife that reflects the love Christ has for His church. With over 30 years in ministry, I take time to truly get to know each couple so they feel supported, prepared, and equipped to thrive in their life together.

He was just the best! He preached amazingly, was so friendly and cheerful. He met with us over zoom before the ceremony and chatted for as long as we needed to cover everything necessary. Overall 10/10 I can’t recommend a better minister!

Short version: Jason is a great guy and a good officiant, just get a script early and be very specific about what you want. Or write your own script and then get his input.
Long version:
Jason is an awesome guy, extremely nice and polite. The two times we met up were very nice. He is easy to talk to and truly cares.
The only negative thing was the script. Jason never asked us for any input in writing the script and only sent the script to us a week in advance. When it arrived it was not at all the direction we wanted the ceremony to go, which could have been solved with some better communication on the topic. The more surprising thing though was that the script had not been changed or personalized at all from his previous ceremony, even the names hadn't been changed. We ended up writing our own script due to time constraints and how far off his script was.
The ceremony turned out very well and Jason did an awesome job!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Weddings that are 11-20 miles from my address will be an additional $50. 50% of the fee is due the day we agree to me being the officiant for your wedding. The remaining 50% is due the day of the ceremony prior to the service. Cash or check is preferable. Checks can be made out to Jason L. Rains. Clients may also pay with the Cash app, VENMO, Zelle, or PayPal.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
In order to make sure that I am the right fit for the customer, I ask that we spend at least one session of premarital counseling together in order to make sure I will be a good fit for what the bride and groom are looking for. This can be done in person or over ZOOM/Google Meets/FaceTime.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in ministry for well over 30 years, and I am an ordained minister. I Pastor EastFork.Church in McKinney, Texas.
