Working with Kinley was wonderful. Taking all of my ideas I had collected for years and incorporating them into a single, cohesive architectural home design was no easy feat, but Kinley was able to do it - and beautifully. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Onyx Design Collective. Kinley listened to my ideas, provided great insight, feedback and his own ideas, and always remained flexible and willing. Even when I asked to see multiple variations, and then ultimately decided to go with the initial design, it wasn't a problem. I have no hesitations recommending Kinley and his company. I'm excited now to see the home we designed together become a reality.

Onyx Design Collective was a huge asset to our project. Kinley helped us create "Change of Use" plans to submit to Ogden City for our upcoming restaurant. He was very easy to communicate with and always provided useful insight. This feedback was invaluable.We faced several challenges during the permitting process due to the nature of the project. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Research & Understanding:
There's more to design than what meets the eye. If a design doesn't meet the needs of the end user then it isn't a good design. Our process starts with an informal review of client's needs and wants.
Planning & Strategy:
Next, we do thorough research of the existing site, governing codes, and regulations, as well as an understanding of our project goals lay the framework for a design that is responsive and appropriate.
Design:
Through an iterative design process we find the best answer to meet your needs.
Working with skilled consultants we put together the construction-ready drawings while coordinating every item before construction.
Launch:
From concept to construction we hold your hand every step of the way.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 15+ years of experience in Architectural Design. I'm a licensed architect in Utah and Idaho.
