FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically provide a lump sum bid. This is a number that covers all material and labor involved in the job. There will never be any hidden fees. If unexpected or undisclosed issues arise during the work, a Change Order may be required.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The customer will contact me from various channels. I text or call with them to gain an understanding of what they need done. I usually need pictures of what the current state of things looks like. Then I can either provide a quote or if more information is needed, I will do a site visit to help prepare a quote. When the customer accepts, I then schedule the work. After the work is completed, the customer will inspect if needed and provide payment. Large projects may have different payment schedules written in the contract.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I worked for a general contractor for about 5 years learning everything I could from him and my coworkers. Everything from how to build a foundation to tips and tricks for installing drywall and trim.
