- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process starts with a consultation which can be over the phone or in person. We talk about ways to bring out personality through setting, clothing, props and lighting. For instance, what a family enjoys together would influence where we want to shoot. Weather might make a difference in whether to shoot indoors or out.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've trained in a variety of visual arts since I was very young and at 14, knew that Photography was my passion. I took all the classes I could through school and applied to the Photography program at BYU in 1996. It took me years to get through the very drawn out and rigorous program, but emerged with a prestigious Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Design with an emphasis in Photography in 2007! Through all those years I photographed family and friends and began steadily to take on portraiture as my mainstay. I practice professionally in the in-between spaces of my very full life as a wife and mother.
