ProCare is awesome. We requested an estimate and they came the same day. The next morning the plumber arrived promptly at 9 am. He was such a happy person, it was a delight to have a workman like that In our home. He immediately went to work and had our new toilet installed and operational in about an hour. Thank you for such great service and at a very reasonable price!

Details: Replacement; there is an existing toilet (which needs to be replaced). • 1 toilet

Will look good on the surface but shortcuts are taken underneath. I had my basement bathroom remodeled by Mike last year. We were able to get the right materials and design the bathroom exactly how we wanted. I have been very happy with how the bathroom turned out. Initially I would have given the experience 4 stars. Every small tweak even when I feel like it aligned with what I had initially asked for increased the price, and the bathroom wasn’t left very clean, silicon caulk was smeared and dripped on my new floor in some areas which I was told would be on me to clean up. None of this is a huge deal, but something that I feel like doesn’t provide a 5-star experience. Last thing about installation: the workers were cutting dusty tile in my basement utility closet. This is a VERY dirty process and left my utility room COVERED in white dust and filthy (also wasn’t cleaned up after the fact) and the utility room is where my furnace in so the dust was getting sucked up through the house. I asked Mike to have them cut outside which he agreed to. The next day, they were still cutting in the house! I had to call Mike to ask them to go outside which he pushed back on. I had to put my foot down. All of this was finished November/Dec 2021. UPDATE: Fast forward to May 2022, I started smelling a sewage smell coming from the bathroom after replacing the furnace/hvac in the house. I assumed it was the tub since I thought that's where I was smelling it the worst and thought perhaps there wasn't a p-trap in the tub from existing plumbing or that the HVAC was just so strong it was pulling air through the shower or toilet drain. I've been trying to get drain backflow preventers and gas checks to stop the smell and have felt a little resigned to dealing with it. Last weekend, I was doing touchup paint and caulk in the basement and was working in the bathroom. The smell was SO strong! I got on my hands and knees with my face to the floor smelling around every part of the floor and every crack. Mike's crew had caulked around the toilet which I assumed was for aesthetics. When I got the the back, there was a breeze coming from a part in the back of the toilet that wasn't caulked. I assumed the wax ring had separated so I called my plumber to come out and take a look. When he pulled the toilet we were shocked to find that the toilet wasn't permanently attached to the floor. The crew had attempted to seal the toilet to the floor using a butt-ton of caulk and just trying to stick the toilet to the floor with the caulk as an adhesive (you can see in the picture of the drain in the floor) . No wonder the smell was coming through, Mike's team had glued the toilet over an open hole! $550 later (On top of whatever supposed parts I had to purchase to install the toilet initially), the plumber had remedied the issue and installed the toilet correctly. Using no caulk around the outside of the toilet, the smell is gone! SO I think if it comes to installing tile, Mike has a good team. If it comes to anything else or plumbing installation, expect shortcuts and make sure to inspect EVERYTHING before permanent installation to ensure they don't try to hide anything beneath the surface. Maybe even hire in a 3rd party to come inspect.

ProCareMan's reply
Unexpected to hear the mess caused by our guys. As the owner of ProCareMan, I am responsible for it. I am apologizing to our customers and firing our workers who had done such a terrible job. We have already issued a payback of $550 for the damage to make it right for James prior to this post. Again, thanks James for reaching out to us otherwise we would not know.

We had a bathroom installed in our basement, which started out as concrete walls. Mike was great to work with and very easy to communicate with any time we had questions. We were very pleased with the materials used and the level of workmanship. I have already recommended him to my neighbor, and we hope to hire Mike again when we are ready to finish more of our basement.

Details: Add new bathroom • Expand the bathroom • Family bath (shared by everyone) • Home
