Aimee has been walking our dogs for over 9 years. We have three Labrador retrievers and it's clear to see they love Aimee. They are so excited to see her on walk days. Aimee has a wonderful personality. I have never seen her angry or "grumpy." She is always pleasant and ready to work and the dogs are always ready to go with her. Aimee has not missed a day taking our dogs out for the last 9 years. I can remember just one time she had a replacement come at the last minute and that was because her daughter was ill. She's always on time and tries very hard to work around your schedule if you have special needs. Aimee always takes the dogs to different areas to walk so they are not bored. She makes sure that there is plenty of water available and she is very aware of obstacles or rattlesnakes in the area. She knows where the dogs are, they are never out of her sight. We find Aimee very trustworthy and never worry about allowing her to access our home when no one is there. She's very cautious when she leaves to be sure that the doors are all secure. Aimee and I have become very good friends and without trepidation, I can highly recommend her for any dog care needs you might have. She is a delightful person and a professional business woman. Please consider hiring Aimee to help you with your family pet needs. Thank you. Karen Tobey Jake, Sunny and Avah

About

Suzie began by walking my dog Mike. When we began needing pet sitting, she then took care of him as well as my two kitties when we were out of town. Everyone has been better now that they are cared for at home rather than at a kennel or the vet. I am quite comfortable leaving the fur children in her care and don't worry to much about them. Besides, I get updates on my phone so I know what they are up to.

About

Amber has sat with our dogs and cats for years now. Whether we have asked her to do drop by visits and feedings or dog walks, she has always done excellent work with our pets. I have a big lab/pit mix who is sweet but a bit of a handful when he sees other big dogs. Amber is pretty much the only person I trust to keep him out of trouble as well as keep him happy and well-walked. She's fantastic!

About

This was my first go with Merry Pets and Thumbtack. I am hooked on both now! Not only was I looking for a dog walker to take care of four dogs, I waited until the day before we were flying out of town for two weeks. Merry's staff replied immediately and Merry spoke with me personally and patiently listened to all of our needs and committed to meet them. I emailed a detailed list about the dogs and they read it and tended to our dogs responsibly and with great care! They even left a little holiday gift for our dogs and home. I will definitely use Merry Pets again and highly recommend Merry and her team for anyone needing excellent attention for their dogs!

Beyond our expectations! If you are looking for a very special person to look after your home and your pets, Ruth is the best! She truly exceeded our expectations and we feel so confident that she respected our home and loved our dogs while we were away. She goes above and beyond with communication and letting us know how her visits went. I couldn't ask for more, mostly I am blown away! Not to mention she genuinely LOVES what she is doing, how can I tell? Well, if you are looking for someone to help you and your pets, maybe you should connect with Ruth and find out for yourself!!! Thanks again Ruth!! - Popeye, Rocky, Alex and Sara

We have taken 2 dogs to Innovative K9 Academy and would highly recommend for any and all dog owners to go there for training. The first dog we took to Innovative K9 Academy was a Rottweiler puppy that we brought home when he was 7 weeks old. From the beginning we knew we wanted him to have good, quality training. It became clear to us as he grew that he could quickly become a handful. Not only was he going to be a very large dog, much bigger than any we have had before, but he also had a very stubborn personality. As soon as he was 6 months old, we took him to Innovative K9 Academy for their 5 week boot camp. Dave worked with Merle for those 5 weeks, and kept us updated on his progress. At the end of the 5 weeks, Merle was experiencing a "fear period", and Dave asked to keep him until he could work through that to ensure that Merle was secure, and had a sound grasp on the training and commands that they had been working on. After taking Merle home, we were immediately impressed with the training that Dave had done. He will listen and follow directions given without any of the attitude he had previously. The second dog we took to Innovative K9 Academy is a Chocolate Lab/Border Collie mix, which we brought home when she was around 3 months old. From the time we brought Jeep home, it was clear that she had several issues; she was extremely hyper, neurotic, and scared of anything new or loud. As part of our adoption agreement when we got Jeep, we were required to put her into a basic obedience class, which we did through PetSmart. Jeep was impossible to walk on a leash, always pulling ahead, or hiding behind whoever she was walking with. The basic obedience class was a complete joke to even attempt with her, she was not motivated by the treats, and did not respond to the clicker method of training at all. While all of the other dogs in the class were walking and working on other commands, we would spend the entire class just trying to get her to heel on a loose leash walk, a few steps at a time. As soon as Jeep was 6 months old, we called Innovative K9 Academy to enroll her in their 3 week training program. When we went to pick Jeep up from Dave, it was like she was a completely different dog. She will now walk calmly on a leash, go to, and stay on her bed when asked. One of the most impressive things to us has been how well the dogs respond to commands, not only from my husband and I, but also from our 6 year old. Because of this training, both dogs have become extremely well behaved and caring members of our family.

I recently hired Travel With Me to house/pet sit while I was out of town. I was amazed with the service I received, not only did she make sure my dogs were taken out, fed, and loved, but I returned to a home that was cleaner than I even left it. I will definitely be hiring again!

I wish I could put into words the amazing talent that Ty and Joe and the rest of the staff at CommuniCanine possess. Both trainers are compassionate and passionate about the work they do. They BELIEVE in their work and want all dogs and owners to have an amazing and healthy relationship. They desire for dogs to be happy in any environment and show owners how to make that environment safe and happy for the dog and all family members. I've had help with three dogs now. Two have now passed and I'm having them help me train my third Rottweiler. They are fun and group trainings are super fun and the dogs LOVE them! The first dog Ty helped me with was a 3 year old Rottie whose owner had passed away. He came to us anxiety ridden and almost was not able to function. Within a week after implementing the advice from Ty, Barney was stable, happy, and anxiety free. It was amazing. I've come to see the same positive response with my other dogs I've had. You cannot go wrong with working with CommuniCanine. Every staff member is amazing and will do whatever it takes to help you train your dog so your relationship with your companion will be rewarding. (P.S. No I'm not a staff member or related to any of the owners or staff. This is my own personal opinion of an amazing company.)

About

Linda has done an awesome job working with my two lab mixes. She takes them on hikes, walks, runs, and plays with them. She is able to stay overnight with them when I am out of town and they are able to stay in the comfort of their home during that time and that is a HUGE bonus. Her rates are extremely affordable and she has done a wonderful job caring for them and providing them with socialization opportunities that they have benefitted from. My one dog has some special needs & she has increased his confidence around other dogs. My dogs love her & I know that they are being well cared for when that are with Linda. I love the days that she takes care of them. They are tired and well excercised when I come home from work & it allows me time to do other things.

About

Michelle has been taking care of our 7 month old puppy as I recently had to go back to work full time. Me and my husband were EXTREMELY nervous thinking about hiring someone to walk him during the day who was unknown to us and our pup, and to come into our home. But once we met Michelle we knew he'd be just fine because she is wonderful!! She is prompt to our home and always makes sure he gets in a good hour walk and some fresh water and food. We told Michelle that we were working with him on walking with a "loose leash" where he doesn't pull the walker, and Michelle took this to heart and makes sure he doesn't do it with her either. We can tell during our evening walks with him that he's not being taught two different things because he's still listening to our commands and not testing us. Michelle is wonderful at maintaining the rules we have already set up for him. She will also send me a picture and brief text about how the day went with our dog. It is so nice being at work knowing he's taken care of. We haven't noticed any negative changes in his puppy behavior and we attribute that to his long daily walks and play sessions with Michelle, who is helping keep him stimulated and active while we're away. I am rambling, but for having to hire someone for the first time to care for our dog, which was scary and nerve-wracking (I felt like I was abandoning him), Michelle eased my fears quickly. I would highly recommend Michelle to anybody. You can tell she truly loves the animals she cares for.

I love that she offers private lessons in the comfort of your own home at a very affordable price. That's super convenient for me as a pet owner because I don't have to drag my puppy there and back every time he has a training session.

About

In the downtown and avenues area of SLC, I've been walking and hiking with dogs for over 7 years. I have access to the shoreline and foothill trails, plus 3 dog parks that I frequent. Also, I pet/housesit with all the amenities, such as mail, plants, garbage, etc. Furthermore, I am a property manager for many homes and condos in the avenues, so feel confident that your home and pet will be well cared for. I have a wonderful and silly 3 1/2 yr old Goldendoodle that absolutely loves all dogs, even if they don't love him! Whatever your needs are for your pet, I'm certain that I am capable and reliable in filling them, but most importantly, it's all about the dog for me.
