I wanted to build a theater to watch sports, action, and epic films. I searched and called many home theater stores, asking about consultation and calibration prices, then I finally found Patrick from A Plus Calibration (www.apluscal.com) and his consultation and calibration prices were extremely reasonable compared to all the regular stores here in Salt Lake County. All the local home theater stores gave quotes over $10k, but he helped me select the best projector, screen, speakers, furniture, and receiver given my budget. Additionally, he has certification from Imaging Science Foundation (ISF), a well known company that knows how to make home theaters look amazing.
After the equipment was installed, he calibrated the projector and speakers to match the room, light, background, and space and this made a huge difference when watching action movies with explosions and special effects, increasing clarity, dynamic range, and brightness in the image. It made me feel more involved in the sports/action on screen. We are currently looking to move and upgrade, and will definitely work with him again for the next theater.
