I worked with Ryan for many years in two different capacities:
1) We were coworkers in an intake department of a psychiatric hospital. I saw Ryan complete crisis evaluations, obtain insurane authorizations, work with families, adults, teenagers, substance abuse and mental health issues. He is a great coworker, has a calm demeanor in a crisis, and is respectful.
2) Ryan was my supervisor in the same department. I feel lucky to have been there to support Ryan as he was promoted to running the department. As a manager he was fair, made level-headed decisions, worked closely with the department and with other managers to ensure smooth running of the hospital. He never lost touch with the work of a crises worker and never asked us to do something he was not himself willing to do. It was easy to work for Ryan.
