In a personal trainer, I was looking for someone who was knowledgeable, and trustworthy, as well as someone who is uplifting, yet also motivating. Patrick met and exceeded my expectations. I felt very comfortable talking with him about my fitness goals, which let’s be honest, can sometimes be awkward. The workout routines he put together were diverse and challenging, which is exactly what I needed. I felt a strong sense of accomplishment with each passing day. One of the things that most impressed me about Patrick was his positive and upbeat attitude and the fact that he lives by his own advice. Like many people, once I started working a time intensive, and at times, stressful job, my fitness and health fell to the waist side. Before I began working with Patrick, I’d spent months in the gym and I was proud of my dedication, but I was hoping to see more results. Patrick helped me understand why as well as focus and strengthen my routine, ultimately allowing me move closer to my goals. The best part about training with Patrick is that he is dedicated to helping you achieve your goals. He’s not just standing there telling you what to do, he actually works out with you. I prefer that because it feels like you have a partner instead of a trainer that is just there because they are being paid for their time.May 11, 2019
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I am negotiable and may be able to tailor pricing to the specific situation of each client. The biggest factor will be the client's dedication and engagement in their goal accomplishment.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?When meeting a new individual to work with, the first thing that I like to do is sit down in-person, or over the phone, and spend time getting to know them, their interests, goals, routine and challenges. Once complete, I create an individualized plan for them. Depending on what their preference is I will meet-in person, call regularly, and provide company and support on their journey. Ideally, when meeting in-person I like to either provide instruction and various forms of support, or jump in and exercise with the client.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?-University of Utah Personal Fitness Training Certificate Program -Training Program Manager (Captain, US Marine Corps) -Various military schools and selection programs -Collegiate Athlete -Sports coach (9-14 year olds) -Lifelong learner from successes and failures (rather lessons learned)
