Introduction
(PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE READ THIS PARAGRAPH BEFORE ASKING FOR MY AVAILABILITY) The pandemic has been extremely challenging for personal trainers and the way this software is set up, we are charged a huge sum of cash the moment you ask for our availability. I lose hundreds of dollars a month to people contacting me and never even responding to my initial message. Please have some compassion with people that have thumbtack as a lifeline to survive through the pandemic. If you aren't sure after reading my bio below, please, please don't contact me. I love what I do and I'm extremely passionate about helping people, but please help us all out through this difficult time! My name is Andy and I own and operate my own small private gym here in Salt Lake City which is thoroughly cleaned between sessions and only open to my personal clients. I've been a personal trainer for almost 7 years now and I loved it enough to forgo medical school after receiving at degree from Johns Hopkins University. I realized I had so much more potential to help others with exercise, nutrition, and mindfulness. I'm not like the typical personal trainer that encourages you to starve yourself, push yourself until you can't move, or forgo the most important aspect of training: safety - both of mind and body. Luckily, the data supports practices that don't require you to kill yourself to achieve what you want from training and I'm here to present the data to you and teach you how to optimize your health. Additionally, as a Neuroscience major I understand that half the battle of exercise and nutrition is fought in the mind. Whether its your habits, anxiety, fear of the gym, or just the cyclical patterns that are a feature of regular dieting and exercise programs, ( e.g. you feel great and motivated initially and eventually old habits creep back in or a moment of 'weakness' derails your goals and you start all over again ) I'm here to show you the data on how to change. Lastly, I'm not in the business of keeping secrets from clients so that they're dependent on me. My goal for every single person that walks through the door is to learn as much as they can to feel comfortable to go off on their own, although I love to keep in touch and hear about your life.

I have been training with Andy now twice a week for about three months. He's a fantastic trainer. He invests in you; getting to know you and your goals, what you see as your challenges, and even what music you like. He also regularly seeks feedback on how I feel the sessions are going, and he responds to it. Most importantly, he puts up with my bad humor and constant whining with a smile! He has helped me push myself beyond what I would have thought possible in this short period of time, and am looking forward to being able to hip thrust 225 lbs! I also like that he incorporates the mindfulness training at the end of each session, helping me to become centered and ready to face the day ahead mentally, as well as physically!

I have been working with Andy for 3 months now and enjoy the way we approach each workout. We set goals, talk diet, and make sure that we are working toward a healthier future. Training with Andy has been a terrific experience. He tailors the sessions to your needs, is encouraging, and carefully increases the intensity of the workouts for constant improvement. Much to my delight, my skiing significantly improved as a consequence. In addition, the incorporation of mindfulness training at the end of each session helps to condition both body and mind. Andy is a true professional and listens to his clients regarding which areas need improvement. As I age, my balance and strength have been impacted. The exercises we work on have addressed both of those concerns. I couldn't recommend Andy more!

Nothing but impressed. Ive hired a few trainers in the past and Ive found that Andys combined approach to exercise, diet, and mindfulness is making a lasting impact that Ive never experienced with other trainers or programs. Hes helped me become results driven while still being completely mindful and present. Highly recommend this trainer.
