I am an adult student of Spencer Kellogg. I began to play the saxophone again after many, many years of not playing. Spence quickly had me back to the level of play I used to have, and we have now far exceeded that. He is really good at explaining difficult concepts in different ways, until something sticks. He is a versatile musician and can play in a variety of styles. He is passionate about music, and that comes through in his teaching. He is a very positive person and is quick to notice and praise improvement. He does a great job of teaching and reinforcing basic technique and concepts, as well as giving simple explanations to complex music theory and complicated ideas. I have enjoyed all my lessons with Spence. I have grown tremendously as a player. I have also had the pleasure of watching the growth and improvement of several young sax players whose lessons started just prior to mine. I can definitely say that his patience, expertise, and passion for music, will help any student to progress in study of the saxophone. He would be an excellent choice for a student who is just beginning the sax, or an experienced player who needs to refine their jazz improvisational skills.... or anyone in between.

Michael is an excellent saxophone teacher! He really has a true passion and deep understanding of the art of music. He makes learning the saxophone fun, he inspires me, and gives me a lot of great exercises to practice on between our lessons so that I can quickly learn as much as possible. He is definitely a high quality teacher and a talented musician. I'm really glad I was able to find such an amazing teacher! Thank you so much Michael!

We are a family-trained musicians who have achieved professional status to provide music instruction to all ages. I have my master's in teaching music emphasis in voice. My expertise is on all voice types and teaching piano to young students or those that don't want to play piano anymore after being frustrated with their piano teacher. I have been teaching piano for over two decades and have the arch of keeping students motivated. First lesson is free.

I have a vast amount of experience in helping great people achieve their goals. During my time as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I worked in a position that made me responsible to train nearly 100 missionaries to better improve their command of the Spanish language. This leadership role allowed me to work with many different personality types and skill sets. For this reason, I know how to customize the learning experience for each individual I teach and tutor. Likewise, I have great experience tutoring for math and teaching saxophone lessons. I have learned from some of the best, and I can't wait to share what I've learned over the years with you.
