We specialize in Dutch oven cooking.
We've met families and groups at their mountain cabins, favorite picnic grounds, camping sites, and even in their own backyards to celebrate all types of occasions. We can easily accommodate groups of 50 to 100 guests, and have provided catering for gatherings as large as 300 people. Our menu consists of a personalized five to seven course meal, with a wide variety of entrees and side dishes to choose from, along with those yummy cobblers that Dutch ovens are famously known for- and in any flavor imaginable. Fried chicken is always a hit, and our BBQ pork spare-ribs are mouthwatering and delicious too.

We hired Rex and Cathy to provide a dinner for our wedding, and they were absolutely fantastic! We aren't from Salt Lake originally, but wanted to get married here. Unfortunately, this meant we didn't have a whole lot of help from family when it came to planning. Rex and Cathy were really the first cog for the event we found, and everything started to come together after we booked them. They were a real delight to work with: exceptionally polite, flexible, fun, and punctual. Because of them, we started to believe that we could actually pull off planning a wedding. They even invited us over to their house to try the food, which was exceptional. Our wedding was outside, and on the big day, it dumped rain. Rex and his team showed up with a pop up tent though, and had plenty of manpower to get the job done. They fed 120 people with no problems, and even specially prepared vegetable lasagna for our vegetarian guests! All of our guests also enjoyed watching the preparation of the meal and the Dutch Oven cooking, it was extra entertainment! After the dinner, we received several compliments on the food, and many of our guests went back for seconds and thirds. For us it was much more intimate than having a caterer show up with pre-made food in chaffing dishes. If youre looking to host an event, you cant go wrong with Carrolls Custom Cooking, these guys are the best! The food was absolutely delicious, but more importantly, they took a lot of stress off of our backs knowing that our guests would be happy.

Rex and Kathy catered our sons wedding, there were fifty guests. Rex was great to work with he was very responsive to all my question and concerns. I felt the price was very fair for the services provided, and the food was simply amazing, chicken, pork, potato salad, green salad, corn peach and raspberry cobbler. Everyone I asked commented that it was one of the best meals they had ever had. We were on a tight schedule and I really appreciated that everything was prepared and ready to be served at the time I had asked for. I would highly recommend Rex, Kathy and their staff to anyone planning an event.

I was planning a fancy date night with my husband, and was looking for a chef to whip up something delicious and elegant. I originally thought Rex and Cathy were strictly dutch-oven chefs, but it turns out they're much more than that! On one day's notice, they planned and executed a meal of bacon-wrapped filet mignon with multiple side dishes and dessert, all prepared in my tiny apartment kitchen. They laid the table beautifully, served us, and cleaned everything up afterwards. It was the experience of a lifetime.

Rex and his crew do a fantastic job. The food was on-time, wonderful flavors, and the cooking was great entertainment!
Ribs, chicken, potatoes, corn, salad, and peach cobbler - what more could you ask for??? Everyone raved about it! He cooked for 125 hungry wedding party folks!
