We have been conducting home and building inspections since 2003 and have inspected over 3000 residences. Prior to starting A-1 Complete Home Inspections, our inspector was the manager of the residential loan inspection department of a large regional bank. We're a member of InterNACHI which requires passing an initial written examination, as well as annual continuing education courses. In addition to home/building inspections, we also offer mold, methamphetamine, radon, lead and asbestos testing. Our narrative inspection reports contain color photographs and include an 80-page homeowner's manual. Lyle was great! I walked through the inspection with him and he was very thorough, and took the time to explain things to me (like how to work the electric fireplace) since this was our first home. We received a detailed report with pictures the same day the inspection occurred. We were easily able to see what needed to be fixed and what would be nice to be fixed but wasn't urgent. We were glad we did the inspection as we saved a lot of time, money, and headache by having the seller fix what needed to be fixed before we moved in. Most of it we never would have known about otherwise! Thanks Lyle!

Lyle did an amazing job inspecting my (now) home. He spent time going over his findings with me and made sure I understood the results. One of the best parts was that he provided me a binder of all my important documents, including common home ownership issues and how to fix them, etc. I still use it and whenever anyone sees it they wish they had one too!

Lyle was very thorough. He was on time and professional. He even stayed a little longer than expected to check a few extra things that we were curious about. He gave very straight forward advice. His report was extremely detailed. I believe it helped us get everything taken care of on the list by the seller as they could not argue with his detailed information and photos. I felt that Lyle really cared and wanted to make sure we were getting a safe home as well as understanding potential issues that could be costly.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have a very successful business primarily from referrals, but from time to time need to fill in our schedule and to do so we offer our Thumbtack clients a 10% fee discount.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We encourage our clients to attend our inspections. It is our goal to provide all the information possible about the prospective residence and to help you make an informed buying decision.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We are members of interNACHI, which requires passing a written examination for membership, as well as annual continuing education courses. Additionally, our inspector has a B.S. degree in microbiology.
