Personal Training & Nutrition Coaching As a certified Weightlifting Coach and Velocity Based Training Specialist with four years of experience in sport performance and injury prevention, I’m dedicated to helping athletes become champions, both on and off the field. My goal is to enable you to have a long, successful career in your sport by building a strong, resilient body. I believe training should be fun and empowering. I work closely to create a training schedule that not only improves performance but also respects their educational goals and family time. Sessions last between 45-60 minutes and, for athletes under 18, a parent or guardian must be present. All sessions take place in our West Jordan studio. My coaching approach is built on a foundation of data and personalized attention. Here’s what you can expect from our comprehensive program: * Initial Assessment: We start with a flexibility/mobility assessment and a strength balance assessment. This helps us identify potential injury risks, pinpoint limitations holding you back, and discover your physical advantages to capitalize on. * Performance Monitoring: Every six weeks, we’ll perform a series of assessments, including: * Flexibility and Mobility * Force Capacity Testing * Velocity-Based Strength, Power, and Speed Testing * Customized Programming: You’ll receive a custom-tailored strength and conditioning program, updated monthly, to keep you progressing. * Nutritional Guidance: I provide customized nutritional planning, also updated monthly, to support your training and recovery. * Mental Performance: We’ll include a monthly mental performance session to help you develop the mindset of a champion. I decided to do a personal trainer to get me back on track with exercising and my 50th high school reunion was coming up. I would recommend working with Jake. He has created workouts for me that work for me because of my age and fitness level but allows me to challenge myself. I feel better overall and have noticed an increase in my flexibility and stability. I am also seeing improvements on my muscle tone and fat percentage

Training with Jake has been a game changer for me. This last year has brought a lot of challenges to my life and my health was one of those challenges. After an appointment with my doctor and getting lab results back I had a decision to make. Either continue living a unhealthy life a face the fact that it would not be a long life, or do something about it. Jake is now my personal trainer and he is God sent. Jake took time with me as we started this journey. He wanted to know not only my physical challenges but personal challenges. Like any relationship you have to start slow and build trust and confidence. And that is what Jake has done. With Jake’s direction I have made quit an impact in just a few short weeks. My weight has dropped significantly, my core is getting stronger and I’ve never felt so confident. Jake is a great trainer, and I would now consider him a friend. I have hip dysplasia and have completed PT three times with little relief. When I was told I need a hip replacement, I decided to hire a personal trainer to strengthen my hip muscles before surgery. I won the lottery when Jake was working the day I walked into the gym! In just a couple weeks I could walk for 45 minutes outside…with no pain! This has not happened in years! I can now walk 20+ mins on the treadmill at a 5% grade and my hips feel so good! No more Ibuprofen and pain pills! If you are on the fence about hiring a personal trainer, DO IT you will not be disappointed!

So I have a pretty sedentary job, so I signed up at a gym. Working with Jake has been superb, been feeling more fit as of late and even my bum ankle is acting up less now. I can solidly recommend Jake, his personal fitness plans fit my skill level and account for any old wounds. That takes knowledge and Jake's got it in spades!

    Your training cost depends on how often you meet weekly and your commitment length (3, 6, or 12 months), in addition to your chosen base online program (Metabolic Optimizer or Peak Performance). For example, the Metabolic Optimizer with 2 weekly sessions for 6 months averages ~$96 per session.

He was very physically weak to where he couldn't get up off the ground. His goal was to be able to do activities with his grandsons. After 1 year, he was able to do his first Spartan Beast Race with his grandsons.
