Introduction: I am always seeking to further my education by taking courses multiple times a year keeping up with the latest sciences that support the health and fitness industry. Examples are: TRX, Kettlebell, Dynamax, Specialist in exercise therapy and of course Certified personal trainer by 3 different accreditations. I would have to say that I stand out from the rest due to my love for my profession! I have a deep passion for every encounter I have. I really love helping people find themselves and feel healthy, happy and all around stronger while feeling a renewed feeling of life.

In October 2014, due to various circumstances, I was in the market looking for a new personal trainer. Choosing a trainer can be a daunting task; finding one that you can connect with is very important. Trainers, just like clients, have their own personalities. As a client, I do not enjoy or benefit from a trainer that shouts at me, is constantly in my face uttering what they consider “motivational” comments and I cannot stand someone to stand over top of me and incessantly count reps. I prefer a trainer who tells me what to do, demonstrates the exercise, if necessary, and then stands back to let me focus. I had seen Anthony train a few of his clients and he appeared to have some of the qualities I prefer in a trainer, but I knew I could not gage his competence or style based on a few observations. When I approached him about training me, I was pleasantly surprised. Anthony took time out of his day and sat down with me to discuss and explain his training model and process. I was still a bit skeptical, as I am with any big decision, but after our discussion and further contemplation, I choose Anthony as my new trainer. Before your first session, Anthony will complete an overall general body assessment. Not only will he document your weight, but Anthony will take measurements and conduct a body fat analysis. While this process was not particularly exciting for me (does anyone really like to see those numbers?), I consider it very important. Many times progress can be measured beyond the numbers on a scale, but you have to look outside the box. Anthony also documents every workout program; the exercises, number of reps and weight (if applicable), which is a major added benefit to being his client. After each session is finished, he emails you the program. Having documented sessions helps you track your progress and, if travelling or out of town, you can utilize previous documented workouts to develop your own mini session and ensure consistency until your next session with Anthony. Even though I have been training with a personal trainer for 5 years, it seemingly had become too routine. Anthony has an extensive knowledge of human anatomy and understands that by doing the same exercises, the body succumbs to repetition. He recognizes how repetition breeds complacency, not progress. Anthony’s workouts vary with each session and he has proven to have a vast repertoire of exercises, allowing 4 or 5 sessions, sometimes more, before repeating an exercise. These variations help prevent boredom and ensures that every part of your body receives the necessary attention without being overworked. Anthony also ensures that you perform each exercise safely and properly, while at the same time, reaching your maximum physical abilities. Anthony continues to find ways to challenge me. After each session, my body is sore, but in a good way. While the soreness can be frustrating, it gives me a sense of accomplishment and motivation to continue showing up and putting in the work. I have been training with Anthony for a few months now and he has proven to perfectly fit my training needs. He quickly picked up on my temperament; does not yell or hover over me, but is still extremely attentive and provides physical and mental support when warranted. He also provides just the right amount of encouragement and recognition of your accomplishments. Since training with Anthony, I have a renewed sense of energy and enjoyment in working out. I have seen improvements in places that, apparently, have not been touched in years. I can personally attest to the benefits of having a personal trainer -- and his name is Anthony Evans!!! Anthony is a gifted and committed fitness trainer. From personal experience, I can state that he made a huge difference in my level of fitness and strength. I have been with him for four years and have made steady progress towards becoming a very fit athlete. He brings out he best in me, constantly encourages me and pushes me to a level that is necessary to meet my goals. He is a gifted teacher; passionate, patient and fun to work with.

Anthony has been training me for many years. He is constantly challenging me to do more and manages to make me enjoy it! He has an amazing understanding of how the body works and always has a way to improve my workout to get the most out of it. I am in better shape now than ever in my life and look forward to every session. He is always on time!

When I started training with Anthony over a year ago, my main goal was to build strength. Anthony has helped me meet my goals with varied workouts that target different muscle groups. I am completing exercises and using weights that I would have never thought possible before. I am thankful for the flexibility Anthony has with scheduling (and the very competitive rates).

I met Anthony Evans through a family member that had been training with him for some time. I was newly engaged, looking for anything that could help me get in shape! I spent over a year with him, up until a couple days before the BIG day! Wonderful experience, slow, lasting results that are so worth it. He's the best! I would recommend him to anyone, no matter what your situation is...wedding, maintenance, anything!

    Wow! I wish all customers only knew how much we put into our studies and how incredibly hard our exams are or that we constantly have to retest every two years. What we are expected to know is equivalent to a doctor.
