I live in the Washington DC metro area specifically Arlington Virginia area. I teach online mostly but can do in person. I've been playing and teaching piano for 16 years now. I taught in undergrad at Cornell Piano Society. I stream/perform piano on twitch but I also love teaching. I can teach any skill level but mostly teach beginner-intermediate classical and contemporary ranging from movie scores, anime, video game music. Whatever you want to learn you name it and we can work through it together. This also includes ear training and learning how to play by ear. I believe making piano fun is the best way to learn.

I've been taking piano lessons with Sam for a few months now, and I can't say enough good things about him. He is an awesome piano teacher who really knows his stuff and makes learning fun. Right from the start, his excitement about teaching was super clear. He knows how to adjust his lessons to fit your level, whether you're just starting out or already know your way around the keys. What I love most is how patient and encouraging he is. Learning an instrument isn't always easy, but he makes it feel less stressful. He's super reliable and easy to work with. He’s always on time, and he’s flexible with scheduling, which is great when you’ve got a busy life. He’s professional but also really down-to-earth. All in all, Sam is a fantastic piano teacher. I've learned so much and really enjoy my lessons with him. If you're thinking about learning piano or want to get better, definitely go with Sam.

Amazing teacher! I’m a student of his and you can just tell that he’s very passionate about what he does. He says that he loves teaching and you can tell that he’s in love with piano because he’s always talking about new stuff he figured out, especially related to theory, and there’s the fact that he’s been playing since he was 13-14. He always replies if there’s any confusion or questions I have in between lessons, and he’s just overall a reliable and good dude. 100% recommend.
