Wade’s Piano Lessons

I teach piano to students of all ages and skill levels. Whether one is trying to learn classical, jazz, rock, music theory, simply wants to read music, or wants help playing by ear, I can offer years of insight and experience in all of these areas, backed up by immense professional experience performing in most genres. For beginners, I work through the basics with clarity, and I always go at the pace of the student. I believe that any obstacle, whether it involves reading music, technique, etc. can always be broken down into very small, simple parts. My goal is to help the student gradually progress at a pace that creates a sense of growth and accomplishment during every lesson, while also enjoying the process of learning and not becoming unnecessarily overwhelmed. This also applies to more advanced students. Whether it is the nuances of dynamics, articulation, tone, advanced rhythmic concepts, theory, improvisation etc. All of these concepts can be broken down into smaller pieces that, if worked on consistently, will accumulate, and the student will see significant results. I believe that the little things are the big things, and I hope for my students to feel the same way. I want them to see the big overarching accomplishments in the smaller ones, and for those to be a constant source of joy and motivation.
