I had such a great experience working with Jack. He is such a perfectionist and has really gone the extra mile to make sure my songs sound the best that they can sound. He also played some amazing drum parts on my songs. The overall vibe of the studio is super laid back and comfortable, too. I would recommend Crab Shack to anyone!

Got some vocals recorded at Jack's studio. He had great equipment/an awesome setup and a good ear for mixing them. Came out sounding great. Would def recommend.

I had a great experience recording at Crabshack. They have a great selection of high-quality mics to use on just about anything. I tracked drums, piano and synth. The analog signal chain gave it the extra depth and warmth I was hoping for. But beyond the gear and instruments, they have curated a welcoming, creative space. There's also good coffee and food within walking distance, which is a nice bonus.

I play in a rock band that wanted to record our first album. I knew Jack mutually through the local music scene and was made aware of his studio, and it seemed like a great place to record some tracks. He was super communicative, flexible when we wanted to change locations to get drums, and worked with our schedules super well. He also was fantastic at getting rid of any unwanted “blips” and issues caused by punching in tracks, which came in handy. The audio quality and quality of the equipment in general was great. I would absolutely recommend working with Crab Shack Music.

Jack Kilby is a highly professional engineer/producer, musician and music teacher. He's friendly, knowledge, and extremely competent in the studio. Because he's also a multi-instrumentalist, recording at the Crab Shack becomes value added because he understands both music and audio. I also love the fact that the Crab Shack is a fully outfitted analog and digital studio. It makes it a one stop shop when recording your projects. I wholeheartedly recommend the Crab Shack as a studio and Jack as an engineer/producer, musician and music teacher.
