Hi! I am an ELCA Lutheran pastor available to officiate your Christian or non-religious wedding ceremony. It is my goal to work with you to to make your ceremony meaningful and reflective of the day you want to have whether that is a private and short or large and boisterous affair. I am a progressive and affirming member of the clergy and am happy to work with LGBTQIA+ couples and families. I'd love to officiate your wedding in a church, at a winery, in your backyard or anywhere in between! I am licensed to officiate weddings in VA and can sign marriage licenses in MD.

My wife and I were in a tough spot due to an unresponsive officiant with our wedding quickly approaching. So, we put out a request on Thumbtack a week before our wedding, and were lucky to have found Kelsey. Kelsey immediately responded, and set up a Zoom call for us to chat. She was very thorough and kind and amenable to our request to have the wedding ceremony done the way we wanted (non-religious). Everything was professional and affordable. On the day of our wedding, Kelsey was on time and the ceremony went perfectly. I would strongly recommend Kelsey for couples who want either a religious or non-religious ceremony. She really came through for us!

Kelsey was AMAZING and so friendly and warm. While she is a pastor, we opted for a nonreligious wedding. I wasn’t sure how the format of the ceremony would be without the religious aspect and I wasn’t sure what to do for vows, but Kelsey had a prompt available that resonated with us and said everything we wanted to say. On the big day she was prompt, professional, and made us feel at ease. I even said it felt like we were 3 good old friends hanging out up at the arch during the ceremony. I highly recommend inviting Kelsey to be a part of your day, too!
