I initially contacted John to set up marriage counseling for my husband and I. I spoke with John for 20 minutes before we even set up an appointment and he put my mind at ease during a very difficult time. I was excited to work with him hoping that my husband would be just as excited. Although my husband decided not to continue counseling, I continue to go to John and it has been an unbelievable experience. John is caring, supportive, empathetic, and motivational. He has helped me to find myself again, something that I thought wasn't possible after my relationship was over. If you have any hesitation about calling John, pick up your phone now, it will truly change your life. Thank you John for believing in me, and showing me how to live the life that I really deserve.
We used Denise for marriage counseling. She is approachable and extremely knowledgeable. We appreciated her warmth and ability to help us navigate our relationship as we became empty nesters. We feel that with her assistance we now better communicate and have developed a better sense of trust. We know that we can go visit her for a "tune up" anytime!
My husband and I have had a couple of marriage counseling sessions with Michael and we have enjoyed them very much. He focuses on giving you "take away skills" for each session. We are excited to see where our future sessions will take us.
I highly recommend Nova Hypnotherapy. My therapist, Andrew Bennett, was very professional and understanding of my situation. At no time did I feel uncomfortable or awkward. Before the first session began, Mr. Bennett gave me a thorough explanation of what hypnotherapy is, what my role in it would be, and what I could expect as results from it. I was encouraged to ask questions and was given ample time to express any concerns I had. Each concerned was taken seriously and alleviated to my satisfaction. It is clear that the therapy was catered to my individual needs rather than a canned process. In fact, there was no set time limit given for my sessions due to this very reason. The hypnotherapy itself was a very pleasant experience. So much so, that I was truly looking forward to the next session. I realize that each person and situation is different, but for me, it took just two sessions for my smoking cessation goal to be met. I also got some unexpected results from my hypnotherapy sessions with Mr. Bennett. Not only was my original goal met, but another issue which had been plaguing me for years was revealed during my second session. Through further discussion with Mr. Bennett, I have discovered a solution for this issue as well. I encourage anyone who is contemplating hypnotherapy to contact Andrew Bennett at Nova Hypnotherapy. He not only works with matters such as mine, but also a myriad of other physical, emotional, and behavioral issues. You will not be sorry.
My wife and I sought out Marian's help to sort through some communication issues that were arising in the first year of our marriage. We picked Marian because her website was welcoming, she was prompt in her Thumbtack responses, and we were intrigued by the idea of having a therapy session with both her and her partner. I cannot tell you how I happy I am that we went with Find Your Sunshine. Marian and Clyde have, without exaggeration, changed the way my wife and I think of therapy. We look forward to our sessions, laugh throughout our time with them, and leave each session feeling lighter, more focused, and completely grateful that we have each other. Marian and Clyde provided us with concrete, easily-applied tools and exercises that have improved our communication and have inspired reflection and introspection. After only three sessions at Find Your Sunshine, my wife and I agree that our communication has become more direct, kind, and effective. We adore Clyde and Marian, and we are thrilled that they are a part of our marriage.
Awesome marriage counselor and minister for weddings. Dave and Patti are great examples of what marriage is.
To be honest, I cannot speak highly enough of Raffi. In just a couple of sessions, Raffi had already began to successfully impact our marriage. Both my wife and I continue to be impressed with him and our progress each week. He is genuine in his demeanor and sincere with his advice. He is patient with us and seems to balance when to listen versus when to overrule us perfectly. Most importantly, Raffi is nonjudgemental and does a fantastic job identifying and treating the source of the issue as opposed to merely dealing with the symptoms. We are especially grateful for his willingness to work with us despite running a significant amount of time over on numerous occasions. The value he has offered us is truly evident in our everyday lives.
Amy is a very caring, positive supportive person. She is an excellent communicator with great patience. She was my life coach for about five years and helped me with my life goals and values. When I met my partner she became our couples coach. She was good at role playing and relationship skill exercises. She also was good at listening to us and not taking sides. The best thing I could say was that although I had been seeing her for years as my life coach , my girlfriend liked her from the start and always felt comfortable with her. She never felt that Amy favored me over her. This is the most compelling case I can make as to why Amy is so good and has a genuine affection for her clients. She is openly rooting for you. The things she could do better probably is true for most therapists and life or couples coaches. I felt especially as a couples coach she didn't challenge us enough or focus harder on some of the problems we were having. She did not however, attempt to do therapy which is beyond her training and was always clear and honest with us that she was a couples coach and not a couples therapist. My partner and I are still together and thanks to Amy we learned valuable communication skills and a respect for each other. I highly recommend Amy as both a life coach and a couples coach. You will always have a friend who cares about you and wants what's best for you in her.
Joanna was a wonderful listener and excellent person to speak with. She was there for me when I most needed her and helped me evolve as person. I have been to therapists in the past and have never felt as fulfilled as I did when I started having sessions with Joanna. A job of a good therapist is not to have their clients depend on them but to teach them how to fully function on their own and that is exactly what she did for me. She helped me to see the capabilities I hold within myself and I will forever be grateful for that.
Avi was someone who was very professional yet down to earth. I felt completely understood and valued and was also impressed with the meaningful feedback and direction which I received in therapy. After looking everywhere for a competent therapist, Avi exceeded my expectations.
My family has only met with Dr. Stephanie a few times so far; but, she is the only therapist that has focused on the underlying issues vs the symptoms in such a short timeframe. Moreover, Dr. Stephanie is specific in the goals for each session - there is a plan, not just addressing the issue of the day. She also has fabulous active listening skills. Best of all, Dr. Stephanie is so very friendly and personable, understanding, and welcoming(even my husband was impressed by the atmosphere of her office). Every member of my family likes Dr. Stephanie! She has given us a glimmer of hope.
Ms. Williams is a colleague of mine and I have seen her in action with her clients. She is insightful, compassionate, and attentive to the needs of her clients. Ms. Williams priority is hercliwnts well-being and it shows! I would recommend her to anyone searching for caring and effective therapist.
The fall of 2014 was a turning point in my life. I was experiencing a crisis in that I was turning another year older and needed to find some perspective and direction in my life. My inability to truly understand my purpose created a state of panic and anxiety and I didn't know what to do. During this time I was referred to Center of First Thought. At first I was a little apprehensive about seeing a therapist but I was immediately put at ease. My therapist, Rose Shelton and I talked about my life path. I was able to put a lot of things into perspective. I thought of her as like a coach. Thanks to Ms. Shelton I have learned to see things more clearly and a lot of my anxiety about the future has disappeared. I am still growing and learning my path but I don't know if I could have come this far if it had not been for Ms. Shelton and Center of First Thought.
Kamesha exceeded my expectations expectations. I appreciate her deep knowledge and sincere integrity. Kamesha holds the ability to communicate effectively and productively, in such a way that pushes you to think outside the of your ordinary box. Working with her is challenging but in a positive and uplifting way. As a coach, Kamesha demonstrated the level of knowledge and experience that has helped me evolve into a better version of myself. She clearly has a passion for helping others live their best life. Kamesha Tarell is one of the best LIFE COACHES in the business.
Pastor Milton is a highly committed servant of God. His marriage counseling sessions were carefully put together and covered many aspects of marriage that are contested issues in today's Union. My wife and I appreciated his counsels. The session provided a perspective on what a godly marriage entails and how to go about the very basics of our relationship. We were truly blessed by his services and would encourage Christians looking for a leap into a Godly Union to try him out.
My wife Lindsey and I had the pleasure of working with Art as our pastor throughout our wedding process over 5 months. We had met Art through family friends and immediately hit it off. We knew that Art would be the best fit for marriage counseling and officiating our wedding as he paid tremendous attention to detail. He wanted to know every bit of our "story", any reservations or hesitations about marriage (and our special day), and how we wanted to incorporate our love for God into our ceremony. As we are busy, career-driven professionals, it was wonderful to have a pastor that was up on the times and could easily jump on Skype to have counseling sessions remotely. Art was very flexible and accommodating as far as scheduling counseling sessions, and was able to roll with some of the curveballs thrown on our wedding day (e.g. down pouring in the middle of our ceremony and starting back up again at another location). But most importantly, Art was able to help us better prepare for a lasting marriage with a clear mind, warm soul, and open heart. He helped us ask the difficult questions to one another as we were preparing to be married. We addressed faith, money, family, and even specific details about our wedding day. We loved how easy Art was to talk to and how excited he was to be a part of our day! The personal touch he added to our ceremony, through incorporating our families and what he had learned about us in counseling, allowed us to more clearly see the true meaning of our wedding day: the beautiful act of marriage in front of God and our loving friends and families.
